Re: Quality of F20 headgear velcro
I used a pair of safety pins after the velcro died'. I put some tape over the pins to make sure they didn't come off in the night. and some fuzzy covers over the tape! Then on a new headgear I tried the safety pin idea right from the start, thinking it would save the strain on the velcro. But at the...

Re: Item 1: weight gain Item 2: eyeglasses
for glasses: I use rimless, (progressive), the most minimal temples available---which are lightweight and will sit on the top of my nose without touching the cushion on my F20--- which sits below the glass's silicone nose pieces

Re: alignment of F30 "ports" with nares
I experienced the same problem. I read somewhere, perhaps on this forum, that you can cut the silicone to enlarge the holes. As well someone said to use a punch to make the holes instead of scissors. I used cuticle scissors, but I couldn't cut evenly enough and the silicone ripped at the place of th...

"hurricane" dryer will do the job; it has a "hose" outlet built in

Re: AirFit F20 hurts
I have found that if you rotate a pair of the F20 touch every other day, AND don't clean them aggressively, you can easily get 2 months out of them. The 2 of them will last 4 months. But even then, they are still expensive. I found the liners over the F20 fit (or touch) awkward. But regardless of th...

Re: AirFit F20 hurts
The airfit F20 gave me red marks on the nose bridge but the airtouch (foam) F20 is a whole different world. I recommend trying it, if the F20 style fits your face. It's just really very expensive .

Re: Need high exhale pressure
Vcom: so how would blocking off the hose diameter and drilling a few holes and restricting the amount of flow to the mask increase the exhale pressure and decrease? the inhale pressure? or relatively? Any theories???

Re: Need high exhale pressure
What are the mechanics of the Vcom increasing exhale pressure? The LL video doesn't even show how it is attached.

Re: Need high exhale pressure
Right: remstar plus just has one pressure for inhale and exhale!!!
Its motor does not slow down on exhale. simple product.
Are there other machines with this mode?? Any machine perhaps not discontinued?? Any resmed machines like the S8 perhaps or its predecessor??

Re: Need high exhale pressure
What I think (and as a newbe, I am always thankful of a better explanation) is that: On a regular CPAP/APAP, the motor slows down the paddlewheel inside the machine when you start to exhale this is controlled by a sensor in front of the motor--- when you exhale you create more pressure and the motor...

Re: Leaks out of control
Can you hear of feel any place around the mask where there is an obvious leak? At 120 lt/min, it should be a roar.

Is here a "sticky" on how actually to use imgur? I don't want to download it until I know how it works.
Once, I figured out how to post a picture direct from windows I think, but I have forgotten. Perhaps not? Is there a way to post a picture directly from windows?
