Any idea what this total gap is?

This is the first time I’ve seen a complete gap. Anyone know why it’s appeared please.

Re: Inspect your mask closely...

I was getting whistling noises and thought it was rainout but I suspect it may have been a bit of both... water whistling though the seal a bit. It was waking me up. I still like the mask though. It lasted nearly a year. I will be a bit more careful washing it in future. Oscar was showing mask leaks...

Inspect your mask closely...

I just wanted to say make sure you check your mask closely. Only when I pulled gently on the silicone did I find that it was separating itself from the plastic frame. Fischer & Paykel Simplus.

Re: Leaks and Events

Are you fitting the mask at the starting minimum of 9 cm or ramp at 4 cm or at the higher maximum of 18 or so. Fitting for 9 cm pressure isn't going to work at 18 cm and if you look at your leak graph.....the large leaks seems to correlate with the higher pressures. It's just harder to maintain a g...

Re: Getting AHI lower

You sound like my case.
I started on APAP and my doc said we should switch to CPAP as APAP was having problems with me.
After that my AHI dropped rapidly.
I went from APAP 6-10
To CPAP 8
and ultimately CPAP 9

I’m now constantly under <2 AHI

May not help you but it’s something to look at.

Tell her about your morning wood events... see if she perks up.

Re: best full face mask suggestions

I have a Fisher & Paykel Simplus and find it very good. The headband isn’t too chunky and it fits well. It whistles now and again with condensation. All I have to do is rub my thumb over the small grill with holes and it seems to stop. Only happens in winter as our bedroom is cold. It’s not a cheap ...

Re: Why the hell would you use a humidifier on your CPAP

Wow this guy „troll“ was rude. Well I’ve only been on CPAP for about 8 months and haven’t had any unpleasant smells from tubes, containers or any parts of my Resmed. I was a pull through my tube regularly. Also wash and clean my mask daily. I don’t have any signs of gunge or bacteria. As for being a...

Re: 5 months later..

I wouldn’t chop and change too much.... give everything time to settle in. Giving up Otrivine is a major physiological thing. Get out of thinking „I can only sleep well if I give my nose a squirt“ Try and blow you nose well before going to bed too. Don’t drink anything 90 minutes before sleep. But h...

Re: 5 months later..

Great....! Now stop using Otrivine!!! Have you got a heated tube? You’ll find in the evenings if you stop using Otrivine you won’t get clogged up before bed. You need to try and get under AHI of 3 or better 2.

It’s can actually be hereditary too. Do you don’t have to be a fatty to have OSA... but losing a few extra KGS MAY help.

Re: 5 months later..

Hi! At least you’re sticking with it! Have you tried going off the APAP altogether and just going for a CPAP constant pressure of say 9cm? It worked for me. I had similar problems. I started off on an APAP 6-10 then went CPAP 7 then 8 and now I’m on 9 constant. I took a home test machine back from d...

The zoom needs to be more to see why these were flagged. But absolutely nothing to worry about even if they are real
The zoom is on a tiny portion... to the right of the flagging column at the top (the light area)
