Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
psteckler, what is the output wattage of your anker battery? It's this Anker battery, rated at 45W: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-PowerCore-Portable-Delivery/dp/B07XRJZXKY According to Resmed, the AirMini has a peak draw of 27W: https://ap.resmed.com/knowledge/how-much-power-does-the-airmini...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
psteckler, please do report back on results. I received the cable today via USPS. It's much more compact than the two cables plus homebrew junction box I'd been using. I connected it to my Anker battery, and the AirMini starts up fine. I let it run for a few minutes, no problems. I'm confident I ca...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
Just found this item, a cable that runs from a USB-C port to the AirMini: https://914gadgets.com/products/usb-c-cable-for-airmini-airsense-11 This seems to be functionally like the system I rigged up, a USB C power delivery cable connected to a voltage booster, followed by the cable to the AirMini. ...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
I found this on Alibaba. It has a 24V DC output. The video also has a demonstration powering up an Airsense 10. You won't be able to run an Airsense 10 for very long on a 24000 mah battery. The battery may work well with the AirMini. If you do run it with the AirMini, please post here how you get o...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
Where did you find the cable for the AirMini? All of the OP's original links are dead. It seems impossible to find those cables online anymore. I'm also curious as to why you and OP are talking about 20v batteries. Doesn't the AirMIni require a 24v input? Here's a current vendor for the cable: http...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
I can't 100% sure. But the white cable with "the most popular" DC port jacket (5.5 x 2.1 mm) that can plug and play to Omni Mobile battery. The black one from P__t 24 seems use smaller diameter head. I'm using the black cable with a 5.5 x 2.5mm jack in the power supply I built, no adapter needed.

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
If you want even cheaper one, this website (https://lofta.com/products/airmini-pilot-battery-cable/?variant=9721633341487) selling for only $19. It is actually the same cable come with P__T 24 ( black color). But they are temporary out of stock. Moreover, their DC end is not the most popular 5.5x2....

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
That may work for you, but that device can draw, at max, 27 watts, and few power banks can deliver THAT kind of power for long, and you're risking a fire if you draw that for any length of time. The average power consumption of the AirMin is spec'd at 6.3W, considerably less than the 27W peak ratin...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
I've just returned from a European trip, where I brought my AirMini and the home-made power supply. I carried the power supply in the same travel bag as the AirMini. It did not attract the attention of the TSA nor the airport personnel in several European airports. I wasn't sure I'd actually need th...

Re: How to run a ResMed AirMini on a USB power bank
Finally, I finished the project. Here are pictures of the front and back of the enclosure. The enclosure is much bigger than needed. I might build a new, smaller one at some point, but this works for now. The scuffing on the front is the result of me removing some nail polish that smeared. I decided...

Re: Fixing AirMini drawstring bag
Anyone know how to re-attach those bits? I fixed it! I used a knife to pry open the plastic nut. There's a hole in the nut where the two pieces of cord come in, that's where I stuck the knife, the other end is hinged. I used an unwound metal hanger and some Scotch tape to push the cord through the ...

Re: Choosing a Battery
You need a voltmeter, and the specs for your machine, also some machines use three wires not two. Jim The device expects 24 VDC which, yes, I can measure with a multimeter. The only unresolved question is the polarity of the input to the 5.5x2.5mm plug. It's likely center-positive, which is much mo...
