Re: Choosing a replacement cpap
Both machines have advangages and disadvantages. My original Airsense 10 developed a problem about one year in. The auto start and stop quit working, and then even with that feature turned off, I was waking up starving for air. It was not caused by a leak. Resmed first attempted a repair, and then f...

Re: Choosing a replacement cpap
As far as the therapy, they are identical. The 11 adds the "for her" algorythm, if you think you may need that. Both are excellent machines. The 10 is tried and true. It's a little larger than the 11. Both are very quiet. The original water tub on the 10 had a tendency to leak around the seam. The n...

Re: Mysterious banning for spam has hit again...
Besides VPN, another way is just to use the TOR browser option on Brave or Chrome.
It's a bit slower, but it's easier than firing up my VPN each time.

Re: CPAP Supplier Staffed by Real People?
You can check suppliers in your area here: https://www.medicare.gov/medical-equipment-suppliers/ You input your Zip code, and put CPAP in the equipment field. You will get a list of suppliers. Some are "preferred" meaning that they cannot ask you to pay more than Medicare allows for equipment or ser...

Re: Medicare question - new Airsense 11
OK - I know what it is. First - there are 2 types of Medicare DME providers 1. Preferred providers - They have to accept Medicare rates and not charge anything additional. 2. Authorized providers - They accept Medicare, but can possibly charge some additional amount. (May vary by service) My provide...

Re: Medicare question - new Airsense 11
Thanks Pugsy. The Customer Service rep has said it the for the portion of the rental that falls in 2026. I am only getting a non-heated hose, but I actully alread have a climateline hose that I got in January, and I have a spare. It would seem that the humidifier tub even though separate should be c...

Medicare question - new Airsense 11
I am picking up a new Airsense 11 Autoset today.
My Medicare + My plan g suppliment are paying for the machine, but since it's a 13 month rental I am being charged today for the portion that is in 2026.
Is that normal? I would think that Medicare would be billed in 2026 for that portion of the rental.

Yes - My Air has had some outages lately. Last week, it missed one day entirely, and finally got the data about 4 days later.

Re: AHI 0.0
I also hit 0.0 a few days a month, and most other days are 0.2-0.5. Once in a while I will have a night with 1.2 or so, but I don't really feel different.
My sleep doc looks at my data each visit, and while he is pleased, he also says not to chase low AHI for the sake of the number.

Re: Do I need a Sleep Doc?
When I started CPAP, I had an in home sleep study, and only consulted my regular DOC. That was OK, but I also had suffered from Asthma, and had 2 docs tell me that was COPD. In 2020, I was hospitalized with Covid, and almost died. In the hospital I was treated by a Pulmonary/Respiratory doc. I follo...

Re: Odd Airsense 11 Problem and Medicare question
Yes- The machine I am referrring to is the Airsense 11. Wondering if there would be any use for it. I won't be paying for the refurbishment, so if there is somebody or some org that can inspect it and perform any work if necessary, vs me just scrapping it. My only complaint with that machine is that...

Re: Odd Airsense 11 Problem and Medicare question
I got a reply from Resmed via my DME regarding my Airsense 11. They said that they could not duplicate the problem with the water chamber leaking. Seems odd since once a leak developed (usually within a few weeks), they leaked every night. But... they did a full diagnostic on the machine, and claim ...

Re: Odd Airsense 11 Problem and Medicare question
Have you tried running dry with the humidity setting off. Yes, a few times, but I do need the humidity. Of course, with no water in the tub, there is no leak! My original DME has sent the unit to Resmed to get an evaluation. We will see what they have to say. I did get some info from Medi...

Re: Cottonelle flushable wipes to clean F20 air touch cushions
Regarding the AirTouch F20. It uses memory foam, and it's not to be cleaned with water. While you can purchase CPAP wipes online, I find that Baby Wipes do a great job, and cost a lot less. I use Pampers Fragrance Free Baby wipes. The Complete Clean, and Sensitive Wipes both work well. I have someti...
