Re: Which Bleep is preferred by most people?
I wish there was a way to actually try the eclipse and at least a couple weeks of ports without having to pay close to $100. The original dream ports are cheaper but still expensive when we don't even know if we will like it.

Re: What is the best CPAP Battery for Travel
I am going to see how long I could camp with that big battery by using my AirMini this week. I used to have a Medistrom, but it died after using it for 3 years as a UPS, and it's too expensive for that short lifespan, so I did not replace it. My thinking is it's very expensive because it provides t...

Re: Deionized water vs distilled water
Here is some science that may ease your mind about what water to use. CPAP uses pass-over humidification which produces water vapor. Not aerosolization. The result is a much smaller water vapor molecule that is incapable of transmitting any pathogens that may be in your water. You're breathing pure...

Re: Deionized water vs distilled water
Just use tap water. Tap water did not cause your cough. Or maybe you got a nervous cough from worrying about using tap water. I have tried tap water now in three countries and have ended up feeling the same way. Whether it's real or not, I don't like how I wake up with tap water. We have hard water...

Re: Deionized water vs distilled water
Hate to bring up an old thread but now that distilled water is once again difficult to find, I was hoping if anyone has any confirmation on how deionized water works in CPAP machines. I am thinking that I may need to go this route if my local Walmart does not have distilled water available. I was fo...

Use of CPAP in emergency for covid treatment when oxygen is not available
I have a family friend traveling to India that is using an Autoset 10 for her. I recall that at least with this machine since it's the same I have, that you can add oxygen to it. Although cpap machines aren't meant to be used as oxygen concentrators, you can add oxygen to it. And I read this article...

Re: Switched machines w/family member and new machine feels weird
If you switch cards watch the LCD screen carefully to see if the machine is okay with having 2 different machine's data on the one card. I haven't tested this but past ResMed machines wouldn't let you do it. I keep meaning to test it out but just haven't got around to doing it. Respironics machines...

Re: Switched machines w/family member and new machine feels weird
so my doctor would be able to get my metrics during my annual checkups. Most doctors and DMEs are now using myAir. They don't download the card. With the new machine, sometimes I can't even tell if air is being pushed (it is, which I can easily check by removing the mask). Is there a problem? Not n...

Re: Distilled Water
I had to use tap water. After a couple days, I noticed that I would wake up coughing more often than not. Got rid of that water chamber, and then found some distilled water. I went back to normal. The power of delusion is strong with this one... Think what you want. When I was using tap water, it w...

Re: Does Kaiser's Medicare contract with Apria include Bleep?
Kaiser has it's own "mask formulary" so the person to ask is the sleep tech at Kaiser (you can probably email them). And if you are getting it through Kaiser, whatever mask you want has to be in the prescription sent to Crapria, so if Bleep is on their formulary, ask them to change your RX. Somethi...

Does Kaiser's Medicare contract with Apria include Bleep?
As title says.
Yes, I am aware I can call, but they are currently closed and the last several times I called for PAP resupply, the hold times were so long!
I know Apria sells Bleep on their consumer side, but not sure about their Medicare/Kaiser side.

Re: Distilled Water
When I was traveling in Europe, I used mainly bottled water and things were fine. At times, I had to use tap water, but not too often. But back here in the States, when we had our distilled water shortage during covid, I had to use tap water. After a couple days, I noticed that I would wake up cough...

Switched machines w/family member and new machine feels weird
I switched my older autoset 10 for her with a family member's identical machine because their machine for some reason did not do auto start and stop well. Mine does. However, despite going into the clinical settings and setting everything up identically for my "new" machine as it was previously, thi...
