Re: Need help interpreting results
Welcome! I see on line that Lexapro can cause tiredness, drowsiness, and difficulty sleeping. I'd recommend reviewing this medication and the dosage with your prescribing doctor. A different dose or a different medication might be helpful. You had mostly CAs in your sleep test, with an AHI of 8. It ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, Check My Oscar
Sage advice from Zonker! That's a wonderful improvement. The CAs probably just indicate brief periods of arousal from sleep or from one sleep stage to another. They may well diminish on their own as your body gets used to the PAP experience. I would just bracket them for now and stick with your new ...

Re: diagnosed with sleep apnea, need some advice
In the U.S., you have a legal right to see your sleep study. Ask the clinic for a copy asap. Then blank out identifying information and scan it. Then use a hosting site like Imgur to post the image and give us the link. We'd be happy to take a look and comment. This could really help you with your n...

Re: anxiety, learning to tolerate CPAP
Oh, please do use Oscar. For one thing, we may be able to see what is prompting those premature wake-ups. Or not, but it's really worth trying. For another thing, we may be able to see that your settings need some revision. Again, or not, but it's really worth trying. You can explore Oscar's capabil...

Re: anxiety, learning to tolerate CPAP
It’s great that you now have Oscar! When the time comes that you can post a screenshot, use a hosting service like Imgur and post the link to your image. The forum can no longer accept uploads, sigh. Meanwhile, do you think you might start sleeping longer and longer with the machine, the way your si...

Re: anxiety, learning to tolerate CPAP
I don't recommend your sister's method; it would work only if you were to sleep longer and longer with the machine over time. Practicing during the day is a really good idea. Try spending some of the time off the meditation app, paying attention to the sensations of the mask and the pressure. Try th...

Re: Can I get help interpreting my moms data?
If you're using SleepHQ, just provide the link to a chart rather than a screenshot. That will let people here see a lot more information.

Re: Help needed.
You might want to double-check that the test will include quantifying leg movements. If you're concerned that you won't be able to sleep much, you might ask the doctor whether using a mild sleeping pill would be a good idea. I hope the new test will shed light on your sleep problems!

Lots of arousal breathing there. You might want to take another look at this thread, which I see you had posted to earlier:

Re: altitude and cpap? Suppl O2
Although I'm not sure why high elevation would be associated with *obstructive* hypopneas, O2 levels certainly can be lower due to elevation -- and 8000 feet is very high! Please talk with your doctor about whether O2 supplementation would be advisable. He or she will be able to answer the question ...

I hope PR's thoughts are helpful to you. As is always true, you might also want to consider talking with your doctor about your TV. That would certainly be your first step if you're interested in getting a pulmonary work-up or a different machine.

Your settings seem do be doing a good job for you. I'd leave them right where they are.
People sometimes breathe faster during REM sleep. It's possible that's what you're experiencing.

Re: Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR)
As I mentioned, arousal breathing is deeper and more irregular than asleep breathing. Take a look at the last chart you posted and you'll see what I mean. It is completely normal to wake up during the night. Many people wake up after they have REM sleep, which may be what you're doing. In addition t...
