Re: Resmed says SoClean is bad

Now you have scrap electronic parts for the kids to play with. Maybe they will choose a well-paying career. And avoid buying scam products. Haha! So is the conclusion that ozone does sanitize but is bad for foam and plastic so not suitable for CPAP machines? My old F&P Icon CPAP wasn't well designe...

Re: Resmed says SoClean is bad

I came here looking to see if others had their lid latch break on their Soclean only to discover that ozone is bad for my CPAP. FML

Re: My personal experience with Inspire for Sleep Apneas

I'm truly touched that people here would offer their support to improve my CPAP experience! I should start a separate thread for that. But in short it works well but I don't find it comfortable and go extended periods without using it. I live in many different places but have a simple life and don't...

Re: My personal experience with Inspire for Sleep Apneas

BTW, it seems unlikely that satisfied Inspire patients would spend time in this forum. That's disappointing as I'm trying to find more information about Inspire and I value the opinions here. I appreciate that CPAP is so effective but I haven't been able to stick with it and am exploring alternativ...

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

That's great ElectricCircus and thanks for sharing this information! Not having to lengthen the wires makes this fix much easier.

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

So glad this helped you Sleepy_G! And that you didn't have to extend those orange wires. I needed to do that since I didn't know what part(s) were bad but it's even better that you can access that without the hassle. I made a small edit to my original post to say which pins 4 and 6 are so someone do...

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

My apologies for not responding earlier. I registered on this forum mainly to post what I had found but didn't realize I wouldn't get notified of responses via email. I never got around to replacing the triac and based on jrbrwrjr post I'd try to find a different one that is better suited. It's been...

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

Went to a buddy's place that has a proper lab took apart the icon. Getting the power supply board out was a pain because of the orange wires that go through the plastic. It has a connector but you can't really get it out so we cut the wire to get the board out and then spliced in some short pieces o...

Re: fisher paykel icon no power

My icon is almost 5 years old and wouldn't turn on. I don't use the humidifier but the hair dryer trick worked for me after about 3 min (I had it plugged in so I could see when to stop). The bottom cover was kinda tough to remove after the screws were taken out and it is too easy to strip the plast...
