Re: Red Mask Blisters on bridge of nose

Thanks everyone. Lately, I have tried doubling, or even tripling Nexcare flexible clear tape. That seems to help. Bridge of nose gets slightly red, but that's probably the best I can expect.

Red Mask Blisters on bridge of nose

I use an ResMed F20 full face mask, and I am getting a lot of red skin marks across the bridge of my nose. I am looking for anything to help stop the red blister marks. I have tried gel packs, but when I use those, I get a lot of leakage around the edges. I have tried reducing the strap tension, but...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Catnapper For years my wife told me that i had a sleep problem. Kept her awake at night holding my breath, she thinking I was not going to take that next breath. Finally, I went to my internists and he told me to take an in home sleep test. I scored 58 events per minute. I then was referred to a doc...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV Configuration

As a new ASV user, it is going to take a little time. My best advise is as follows: Turn off Ramp Up. I have found that the low pressure in the ramp up process only make breathing more difficult. Turn on ASVAuto. Have a fairly high starting pressure, like EPAP 8-11. I use 10. The higher starting pre...

Re: SoClean question and distilled water

I use my SoClean for sanitizing my hose only. I clean my mask and reservoir with soap and water. I undertake this process once a week. Seems to be enough.

Re: What does it feel like to use an ASV CPAP if you don’t need it?

You are sound asleep. When the machine intervenes and forces a breath, it does not awaken you. In my case, at least, I sleep through the entire event, or events. It feels perfectly normal. Sometimes I awaken in the early morning to find air bubbling out the side of my mask. But that is just from the...

Re: Travel machines

I use my ResMed S9 Adapt as my travel machine, without the humidifier. I briefly had a small travel machine (Transcend), and it was sort of a problem. It is small, light weight, and squirley. Easily fell off the night stand with the slightest movement of the air hose. The S9 is a much better choice,...

Re: Cmparison ASV: Phillips VS Resmed

I had to take another sleep test before for my Doctor to give me an Rx for an ASV machine-per Medicare requirements. When I took the test, it was on an Phillips machine. I had trouble sleeping, because I was used to my then machine-a ResMed AirCurve V auto S10 machine. The Phillips machine had a eve...

Re: I Need a Quiet Travel CPAP

I also use a ResMed S9 Adapt, without the humidifier, for travel. It is small, and I found a plastic container at Walmart which just fits the size of the S9. I found that many of these travel CPCP units were so small that they were squirley sitting on the nightstand. The slightest nudge of the hose ...

I live in north Florida, and my data has not been transmitting since July 2nd. Must have something to do with ResMed's MyAir reception equipment.

Re: Philips ASV vs Resmed S10 ASV

I have the ResMed ASV. In order to get an Rx for the ASV machine, I had to take a sleep test to show Medicare that the ASV technology worked for me. In that sleep test, my doctor used the Respironics ASV machine. At that time, I had been using a non ASV, ResMed bilevel machine. During the sleep test...
