Help! CPAP is breaking but no options!

Model: ResMed Airsense 10 Current pressure: 14 Full Face mask (unsure of name) I am in need of serious advice! I have had my AS 10 for nearly four years. I am still 15 months away from my eligibility for a new machine. Problem is my current machine is slowly breaking down. It started about a year ag...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

I am in the exact same situation you are in. As a matter of fact I'm writing this reply because I'm unable to sleep due to the whirring noise in my Airsense 10. It started about three months ago. I've had my Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for four years without a single noise issue. Then about three mon...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

You are definitely not alone. I've been using the Airsense 10 for over three years without issue until about three weeks ago. Listening to the recordings you made was such a relief for me because the noise is so low I thought it was my ears playing tricks on me. I've tried covering the until with to...

Re: CPAP mask straps way too tight!

First thank you to everyone that replied, but I think I need to reiterate a few points since sone of you dont seem to understand what I'm talking about. 1) My cpap machine DOES NOT AUTO ADJUST PRESSURE. It stays at a steady 14 cm the whole time. This is verified my the MyAir app which gives me daily...

Re: CPAP mask straps way too tight!

These masks are not intended to be worn tight. The silicone cushion inflates with the pressure and if you pull it too tight the cushion cannot inflate...that's what makes the seal. Suggest that you have the machine running when you put on the mask so the cushion is inflated as you place it against ...

Re: CPAP mask straps way too tight!

For some dumb reason, Medicare only replaces the straps every 6 months, yet those are the part that tends to wear out quickly. When the straps lose their elasticity, you may find yourself tightening them more and more. Agree! My F20 headgear stretched. A lot. This is after 4 months and 2 washings. ...

Re: CPAP mask straps way too tight!

Most masks have air filled cushions. So that means the cushion cannot fully inflate with air if you pull the straps too tight. That can lead to pressure and leaks. But if the elasticity of the straps is worn out, then you have to tighten to support the mask. My mask does not have "air filled cusion...
