Re: Help Using CPAP On Flight

Your main issue will be power. A 777-200 is an older plane and I've had issues with power on older planes with CPAP especially when trying to use a "regular CPAP" because they will require more wattage than a travel machine. Your standard power supply is 65W, and that will likely too much power for ...

Re: CPAP in cold weather

I've used my Resmed AirMini tent camping in November with night temperatures ~30F. I did keep the AirMini at the top of my sleeping bag and mask/hoses inside. I was getting some condensation/freezing when my head/face was outside the sleeping bag. I ran off batteries and had enough juice for a weeke...

Re: Travelling with the Airsense 11 machine ? Is it viable ?

Travel with a CPAP is not a big issue. I've had one for 15 years and have traveled both internationally/domestically with it. For domestic travel, make sure to bring an extension cord. As others have said, hotels might not have the most convenient plug location. I tend to use bottled water unless my...

Re: Airsense 10 with 24V Battery

I've used the Pilot 24 as mentioned by the previous poster with both the Airsense 10 and AirMini and they provided the needed cables to connect directly, though my Pilot 24 did stop charging recently. I also have used DC converters for the Resmed S8/S9 and that solution also worked well. The DC to D...

Re: Recommended approach to trying new masks - pls help

CPAP.com has a 30 days return policy on masks. https://www.cpap.com/returns#30-day-ris ... ask-policy Not sure whether others have it. I've never tried to use it, so I don't know how real/how many you could try.

Re: No effect from humidifier.

There are other diseases besides OSA that cause mouth dryness. Not only do I have OSA, but I am type 2 diabetic. When my a1c was 8+, constantly trusty, similar to mouth dryness. My A1C is now 6, and I don't notice the mouth dryness as much. I'm also a mouth breather and use a full face mask. Just so...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 Card to Cloud

I have one, the same machine as my old S10 just without the modem. The only thing you miss out on is compliance data for a DME and the Resmed mobile app since it used uploaded data to show your stats. But you can use Oscar or the screen on the machine to see your daily stats.

Re: CPap mini proper mask?

Resmed supports the F30 on the Airmini. The custom hose connections/hoses support P10/F20/N20/N30/F30. And as pointed out there are more generic adapters that allow standard hoses. List of available connection kits from Resmed: https://shop.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-sto ... toset/kits

Re: CPap mini proper mask?

I've been using Resmed F20 with the AirMini for over 5 years. It has multiple sizes. I used the silicon version. I switched to the F20 from the Quattro Mirage. F20 is lighter seals better and it doesn't have the forehead pressure point. I've also used this mask with my full-time machines. I'm also u...

Lightweight hose for S10 like AirMini

Because of the Dreamstation recall, I’ve had been using my Resmed AirMini for the last 13 month full-time. I recently bought an S10 ( had one before the Dreamstation ) and I’ve noticed that I seem to sleep much better with the AirMini. I use a full face mask F20 mask and have been using HumidX with ...

Re: Waking up very often during a night

Diabetes/high blood sugar is another cause of waking during the night. When I was originally diagnosed with type-2 diabetes, I was waking 4-5 times per night. I've used a CPAP for 20 years.

Re: Traveling with CPAP

I've traveled quite a bit with my machine and have just used bottled water. Keep in mind your CPAP and carrier are not supposed to count as your personal item, as durable medical equipment it's exempt from being considered luggage with most airlines. I had issues once with AA when I first got my CP...

Re: Cold weather camping and airsense 10

I've done November scout camping in Massachusetts. Temps got to 28-29 the two nights and we were camping on the 5-6 inches of snow from an early season snow storm. I used an AirMini with lithium batteries and got through the two nights. But you do need to consider that the moisture in the mask was f...

Re: Questions from a bearded newbie

I shave at night so that the mask will get a better seal. I couldn't figure how people with beards can make a full facemask work.
