Re: Forgot to wash mask today

OMG, I also forgot to wash my mask today, and the last 13 days. Come to think of it, I forgot to wash my hose as well, pretty sure I forgot to wash it the last 1200 days. Forgot to put distilled water in my humidifier tank last night. I've forgotten last 1300 days. Right now your mask contains a who...

I tried to replicate this set-up but can’t figure out what the small piece is that connects directly to the Airmini? Does anyone know?
Take a picture of the small piece you're referring to.

Re: Abnormal data in venting and respiratory rate

I *believe* it's because of how OSCAR collects data. In 1.3.1, OSCAR immediately started collecting data when the device came on, the various metrics don't all start up at the same time. Therefore, almost always many of them will have a value of 0. It was 1.3.0 that has that problem. 1.3.1 fixes it...

Re: Abnormal data in venting and respiratory rate

Did you upgrade to OSCAR 1.3.1? I did and got a similar "abnormality" last night. I *believe* it's because of how OSCAR collects data. In 1.3.0*, OSCAR immediately started collecting data when the device came on, the various metrics don't all start up at the same time. Therefore, almost always many ...

Re: Why do some people hate full face masks?

I've seen people who claim that a full face mask makes them claustrophobic.......but then they end up using chin straps and taping their mouths shut.......so much for claustrophobia. [.snip] Den I don't think you quite understand claustrophobia. For me its a sight thing. I managed to sleep ...

Re: Cleaning the HumidX cartridge

I honestly feel that the company needs to be clearer about this thing. When the cartridge is brand new, it has a noxious odour that disappears after the first use. No doubt users inhale whatever is responsible. But if those molecules are no longer needed after Day 1, then what is owing to the cartr...

Re: OSCAR v1.3.1 is released - January 23, 2022

Updated easily:
  • Made a backup of existing OSCAR_Data
  • Downloaded and executed 1.3.1
  • Imported last night's data
Everything worked perfectly (Mac 11.6).

Thank you!

Your behaviour was shameful.

We are in a pandemic.

If you can't travel safely, without putting others at risk, the solution is for *you* not to travel. You had a choice, the people surrounding you didn't.

Re: Cleaning the HumidX cartridge

Actually, ResMed say not to rinse the cartridges as water will ruin them. In order to work, the cartridges have to be filled with some type of humidifying gel, similar to what's used in cigar humidors or musical instrument storage. When you exhale, the cartridge absorbs some of the moisture from yo...

Re: Resmed Aircurve Water Tank Mod

Refilling the tank without dumping the water is fine if one uses distilled water. But, if one uses tap water, it will dramatically increase the mineral buildup. I use tap water, dump and refill every night, mineral build up isn't a problem. someone made a mod to allow one to add a bigger tank that f...

Re: My Airfit P10 nose pillows slip off

Is the strap on your p10 the original strap?

If it is it likely doesn't have the elasticity to keep it tight. Replace it.

Newer P10 straps have a built in clip that gives the wearer more control over the tightness.
