Re: Can I put a few drops of Vick Vapo Steam in my CPAP Humidifier?

Yup that will work too but just so we are clear, the reason for recommending DISTILLED water instead of tap water in the humidifier, is to ensure that you are not inhaling pathogens that may be lurking around in tap water. Also tap water may leave scaling behind. Not according to ResMed. According ...

Re: Need advice on new machine

If you are self-managing, using OSCAR, and don't need to send your data electronicly, get a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet (card-to-cloud). If you need to send your data to care providers or insurance get a ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet. FWIW: 'The Resmed10 Autosense also sends data to care providers. Vir...

Re: Is the ResMed Airsense 11 Humidifier issue fixed / workarounds okay?

Could anyone elaborate on the high altitude issue? I recently moved from Louisiana to Colorado, and now it feels like I don't get enough air from my AirCurve 10. Some nights it's from the moment I turn the machine on, some nights it give ok pressure for about 30 seconds to a minute. Do I need to ha...

Sorry, I was lead astray when the OP asked about it. I jumped to the conclusion that it had wifi.

I am the engineer type and question everything and take nothing at face value since a lot of people just repeat what someone else said or made up without verifying that it is true

Re: Continued use of recalled Philips Dreamstation BiPAP AVAPS machine

So, whatever you are viewing on the myair app is being hosted on the resmed servers. It isn't in any way using wifi to do that. I can't imagine that resmed would include a wifi chipset on all the machines. That would be expensive for no use at all. You keep going on and on and about ResMed's Wi-Fi,...

Re: H20 Distillery

The bullfrog has to delime it very frequently to maintain efficiency. how does one do this? reckon i should be giving that a go with mine. You can't make this stuff up. good thing you're here to help. smh Deliming is the same as descaling. Removing all the minerals that build up. Easy to do: Create...

Good.

Now, why don't you review this and all the other topics you created. Focus on how badly you behaved towards the people who posted why your previous theories could not have been the cause. And then apologize to them.

Re: Philips CPAP accessories discontinued?

Thanks all for the advice. It seems that the N30i doesn’t have an equivalent size to the dreamwear medium-wide nasal cushion. Could get expensive trying them all out. Probably not worth supporting Philips anymore anyway, since they’ve proven to have very unethical business practices. I’m surprised ...

Re: Chin strap or mouth tape

Chin straps keep you chin up, but they don't necessarily keep you mouth closed or stop mouth-breathing.

I tape with Cover Roll Stretch.

I agree with most of your analysis, but some of us do use MyAir as that check engine light before pulling out OSCAR, and it's hard to find Airsense 10's that aren't the silly card-to-cloud model.
This is actually a good point.

I actually go to MyAir more often then I look at my OSCAR graphs.

Re: Resmed AirCurve 11 announced

We need some reviews and a tear down to help new buyers decide between the 10 and 11. I thought I’d have no choice but now I’m unsure having not used a 10 and having supplies for the 11. Why? This is what past history tells us: All models within a product iteration are the same hardware All S9s wer...

Re: Resmed AirCurve 11 announced

Not available yet but the DME's are allowed to order. Only 3 years late but looking forward to getting one. why do you say three years late? Because he's decided that when ResMed releases a new line, it must release all potential models. Even though they've never done that. He's also decided that n...
