Re: Too many events per hour

MED CARE(this is our insurance company that supplies medical equipment) finally arrived at our condo and checkout the machine. He said there was water in the hose and in the mask. He said the humidity was up to high. He lowered the humidity from 8 to 4. He said to hang the hose so it will dry and to...

Re: Too many events per hour

The doctor adjusted the settings and it did not help so he put it back to the original settings. Now he is having 14 events per hour. Hr suggested to wait 3 months and if it doesn't get any better to get another sleep study. Not really anxious to go to the hospital overnight to do the study with Cov...

Re: Too many events per hour

I have a laptop computer. I still use the sane Resmed RSV. Not familiar what Oscar Chart is. Doctor never mentioned what type of apnea I have. He said it was severe apnea and needed to wear a full face mask. I have always had good readings for about 2 1/2 years. I was always almost 99-100% and Episo...

Too many events per hour

I have worn a full c pap mask using a Resmed for almost 3 years. I usually have maybe around 4 events per hour. Suddenly when I goy my new replacement mask and tubing my events have gone up to about 24 events per hour. I have changed all the parts again but the same readings are a little better but ...

Distilled Water

Going on a cruise and part of it is on land for 7 days in Alaska. I don't want to lug distilled water around with me while on the land portion. Can I use tap water on the Resmed C-PAP or just not use any water if distilled water is not available.

Has anyone experienced deep burping after wearing the c pap after several hours? How can I deal with this problem?
Appreciate your help!

Re: Just got a new cpap from Resmed

Have not used anything different on my hair or face. I called Resmed about the heated slim line tubing and they said that it was alright to get the three prong clip wet but just make sure it is dry before you use it. They also had no idea about the scalp irritation. They said to check with a dermato...

Re: Just got a new cpap from Resmed

It started irritating my scalp before we got the new mask. I use unscented baby wipes to clean the straps and mask. What do you use to clean a full face mask?
Thanks,
Moosie

Just got a new cpap from Resmed

New Resmed cpap has a heated tubing(slim line). My previous machine had unheated tubing. Do you wash this tubing differently than the non heated tubing? It seems to have a connector to the machine that does not come off. It has a metal clip that connects to the machine and am not sure whether you ha...

Re: Machine Noise still driving us insane

I did not hear anything. My husband's first resmed made a lot of noise. Found out after a few months it had a bad blower and the Distributer replaced it and now only thing I hear is my husband's breathing in and out. Try ear plugs

Re: New Insurance uses a different brand of c-pap

The new insurance company contracts with a different medical supply company who does not use Resmed unless the doctor specifically says that there is a medical necessity. The new insurance provider is AvMed.

New Insurance uses a different brand of c-pap

Hi Need your advise. I have had a Resmed Air Curve ASV for about 18 months. I have severe sleep apnea. It uses variable pressure. The machine works great. My new insurance uses Respironics and will only give me a Resmed if the doctor writes that it is medically necessary. Since I have no idea about ...

Itchy from Face mask straps/ outer corner of eyes burn and itch

I have a full face mask. Never had a problem for a year. Now I am getting itchy where the straps touch my hair above my ears. Also my ends of the skin near my eyes on the outer edges are getting dry and burning. Any ideas how to fix these areas?

The answer to your problem of 'too much air' might be in the pressure settings, but you need to provide them here so we can get a better idea of how to advise. They may have been too high, but what were the prescribed ones?
It is set on variable.
