Re: Confusion over cleaning hose/tubing

Just one guy's opinion, but hoses don't really need cleaning. I cleaned it once, the first night, then never again for 7 years. When it wears out I get a new one. This is the third one so far.

Just clean it as much as you feel comfortable. Or not.

Because there's no significant market for anything shorter.

The Air11 really doesn't offer anything.
I agree with most of your analysis, but some of us do use MyAir as that check engine light before pulling out OSCAR, and it's hard to find Airsense 10's that aren't the silly card-to-cloud model.

Beyond that and you're going to shorten its useful life.
No doubt. Fortunately these batteries are pretty cheap. Maximizing its lifespan isn't my goal. I test mine 3-4 times per year all the way to empty to validate the whole system. Three years in and it's still kicking so far!

Re: Battery Backup solution for Resmed S9 with H5i

The best thing is to get one of these, specifically made for the S9: https://www.directhomemedical.com/cart/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=S9DC-36970-dc-converter-s9-cpap&Store_Code=DHM&gad_source=1 That will let you run off 12- or 24-volt batteries. You can pick up a deep cycle scooter batte...

You have to get on the ball with your Medicare. We're a few years away but already planning for it. This is one of the best overviews I've seen:

You refuted without providing what's incorrect. Because you just wanted to say something without providing proof 🤦
Mostly I just want people to know you've been using CPAP for about 10 minutes and to have some context when reading your pronouncements.

2 things, you should definitely look at both settings because the AS 10 is superior than the 11, the only "cool" thing is the touchscreen.

Don't trust the myair app. That's total rubbish. You can have your mask of for 2 hours still get 100% .
All of this is incorrect.

Re: Travelling to Bangladesh

Hi Guys , Can I take my CPAP machine inside my Carry on Language ? That really depends on the policies of the airline you fly, but I've flown internationally a bunch on quite a few airlines and none have given me any issue. As Zonker said, it's usually allowed as a medical device in addition to you...

Re: Just Venting/Questions

is it washable? Yes. I've had mine for years and wash it every couple of weeks (breaking my rule about not cleaning anything CPAP-related). So if the mouth is able to open, what's the purpose? Not sure, you can see his mouth is clearly covered. This isn't theory - I use it, it works. Sometimes the ...

Re: Husband says CPAP is scary and unattractive...

You're husband needs to get with the program. CPAP is one of the least obtrusive medical treatments. 60 is nothing. If he's grossed out by a machine and a mask, what's he going to do when you're in your 70's, 80's, and 90's? There are way worse treatments to way worse conditions that either of you m...

Maybe the big software update they pushed is ignoring breaks under xx seconds. I've seen quite a few people post that they stop and restart their machines if they wake up during the night to kick off the ramp again.
