Re: Severe Nightmares Nightly, Frequent Waking, "edgy" Waking
I have been on CPAP therapy for well over 10 years. In the last year or so, frequency of nightmares has spiked. Also, I wake up at least 10 times a night. I also feel "edgy" when I wake up, with my pulse rate fairly high. I've also had in an increasing problem with memory over the last year, with a...

Re: Lots of problems with a low AHI - waking, fatigue, nightmares, brain fog
I am wondering about what drugs and/or supplements you take, if any. Many have side effects that could disrupt your sleep with nasty dreams. E.g. Melatonin with vitamin b can cause weird dreams. Heart medicine can disrupt sleep. When i take magnesium citrate before bed, I sleep heavily. A glass of ...

Re: Lots of problems with a low AHI - waking, fatigue, nightmares, brain fog
How long has it been since you have had a 'full-on' in lab sleep study? I'm wondering about such things as erratic pulse rate, O2 blood saturation, cardiac problems, and or pulmonary problems? If you have been on PAP for 10 years and do not sleep well, where is your determination to look at other p...

Re: Lots of problems with a low AHI - waking, fatigue, nightmares, brain fog
Still having the same problems: nightmares, frequent waking, brain fog while awake. Generally symptoms of poor sleep quality even though I spend a lot of hours asleep. I've attached a graph of a typical night. This torture is DAILY (well, nightly). I hope that someone can help.

Re: Lots of problems with a low AHI - waking, fatigue, nightmares, brain fog
Here is the graph after hitting F9: Screenshot mar 12 19.jpg You are recommending INCREASING the pressure from 12 to 13? I was thinking of lowering it to 11 since my EPAP is spending a lot of time below 13. I was concerned that my pressure was too high. While I'm a CPAP veteran, I'm a SleepyHead sta...

Lots of problems with a low AHI - waking, fatigue, nightmares, brain fog
I am a RELIGIOUS APAP user. I've been on the blower for around 10 years. I have 100% compliance (even take it for overnight motel stays) and have an enviably low average AHI of under 2.0. I am currently using nasal pillows but I have been on every type of mask on the market over the last decade in s...

Re: Resolving Nasal Pillows Problems. HELP!
I have the dreammapper software. By the numbers, my apnea is under control with the machine, but the quality of my sleep (waking up with drymouth 40 times a night) is awful. That's the problem I was trying to solve by switching to nasal pillows so as to not have my mouth blasted with air all night.

Resolving Nasal Pillows Problems. HELP!
I have been on APAP for a long time. My pressures are on the high side (avg around 16). For the last several months, I have been using a FP full face mask. Seal is decent and my AHI is generally below 1.5. The problem is that I wake up around 40 times a night with horrible dry mouth. The humidifier ...
