Re: You guys/gals might want to read this especially if DreamStation 2 user

Thanks grumpy for getting back to me. I talked some more to resperonics and they decided I can send my machine back and they will repair/replace it. There was something definitely rattling around loose in the machine some where . I guess what I am looking for is the "provider mode." With the machine...

Re: You guys/gals might want to read this especially if DreamStation 2 user

It has been a long time since I've had a need to post...but something has come up and this looks like a good thread to respond to. I received a replacement Dreamstation 2 because of the recall. When I handle the machine I can hear a rattling noise coming from inside the machine. Talked to resperonic...

Re: CPAP use and self catheterization

I knew I could count on y'all! At least now I have some reasonable directions to go in rather than shooting in the dark. Still open to any actual sites that anyone may know of though. That thing about my equipment not showing... when I previewed my first message it didn't show my CPAP equipment down...

CPAP use and self catheterization

Hi All, I may be way out of line with this request, and if I am I'm sure someone will let me know.I am a happy and satisfied user of CPAP, AND of asking for help about CPAP problems from the nice and helpful members of this forum. I have had to start using an indwelling catheter and I'm hoping to ma...

Re: AHI has shot up

OH HAPPY DAY!!! Thanks Pugsy for reaching out to help me, and thank you everyone else who took the time to respond! I am including a screenshot of last night. I will run with these settings for a week to make sure it was not a fluke (which I highly doubt). Then maybe we can fine tune it a little mor...

Re: AHI has shot up

Thanks Pugsy, I think I intuitively know the answer to this question...but I have to ask it: If I bump the pressure up to 20 does that mean that the machine will run at 20, or is it just capable of going there if necessary? I know that that is one of the reason why I didn't bump the pressure up in t...

Re: AHI has shot up

Hi, Thanks for responding! I don't know what woke me up at that time, but I'm beginning to suspect that it has been happening more often now that I've been playing with the settings. The reason I lowered the pressure was because of the dry mouth and I was getting, and mouth burps as air was escaping...

AHI has shot up

Hi All, I have been using cpap successfully for years, thanks to the help I received at this web site. A few weeks ago I started waking up with dry mouth...so I got a chin strap which I have learned to tolerate. Then I started to notice that as I was lying in bed waiting to fall asleep I would be hav...

Re: reading sleepyhead graph

Thanks all, Especially you Pugsy! I decided to read on your excellent help page about oscar. I'm not one to load just any program onto my computer. Oscar went on fine and with more reading I found that I didn't really have to make a decision about what to do with sleepyhead. I migrated the sleepyhea...

Re: reading sleepyhead graph

Hi Bill, Thanks for the info. I'm wondering if loading "oscar" on my computer will cause any confusion for my computer since I already have sleepy head installed. Sleepy head is really informative and I have been using it for the last 4 years ( it was also the only thing worthwhile available), but i...

reading sleepyhead graph

Hi All, It has been a looong time since my last post, mainly because things have been going so well. I did get a lot of really great help when I was new to this CPAP thing and had a bunch of questions. Lately I was waking up with super dry mouth, puffs of air were leaking from my mouth, and my ahi w...

Re: newbe question about "flow limit" in dreamstation

Thanks Jay ChicagoGranny nailed it! I woke up this morning at 3 something and I had had just a little over 4 hours of therapy. As I lay in bed it came to me that I do know this about me, I react to stress by losing sleep. That is not apap's fault. I need to keep reminding myself that this process is...

Re: newbe question about "flow limit" in dreamstation

Thanks jay So, how do I feel? I feel like I still want to dial in my therapy settings so that I can see AHI that are consistently lower. I have read the posts saying that this is all a process, I get that. Since December when I was reluctantly given a nasal pillow my AHI has been consistently incons...

Re: newbe question about "flow limit" in dreamstation

So here goes ...again. http://i.imgur.com/beEF9VQl.png http://i.imgur.com/VTjuhEhl.png thanks Oh happy days, I'm surprised and amazed! the second image w...
