Re: Airsense 10 info for Toronto,Ontario, Canada
I have that same Airsense 10 and have used in Toronto (and around the world), and never had a problem with the cell connection. I didn't have to pay anything beyond my initial purchase. So if the machine isn't working, the shop that sold it to you should replace it or fix it.

Re: Thoughts about CPAP pillows?
For those of you using pillows with contours or cut-outs, what do you do for pillow cases?

Re: How often do you replace your mask?
Thanks everyone, that's super helpful. It tells me that it's not unreasonable that these things wear out within half a year or so. I'll probably just get a new one and start fresh.

Re: Surgery and CPAP
I had surgery a couple of months ago. Because of my sleep apnea, they required me to stay overnight. I was really glad I did. I was using my own machine in the hospital overnight. My SP02 levels dropped whenever I drifted off, triggering the alarm. Eventually they added an oxygen feed right into my ...

How often do you replace your mask?
My Nuance Pro nasal pillow is six months old. The gel inserts have fallen off, and the velcro on the straps isn't working well any more. I'm going to do some DIY repairs, but it raises the question - how long do you all expect these things to last? Is replacing your mask/pillow every six months just...

So you're new and finding it difficult...
I don’t think I’m alone in finding the initial stages of CPAP difficult. It took me the better part of three months, but I can now sleep through the night without issue. I thought I’d write down some of the things that I found helpful in getting a set-up I could live with. Everybody’s experience is ...

Re: Think I'm finished
Sorry to hear it's been such a struggle. I've been using my machine for over a month, and last night was only the second night I slept through. It involved a lot of tweaking of the mask, the hose, the way I wear the mask, the humidity level, the way I adjust my pillow, and just plain getting used to...

Re: I feel like I'm suffocating!
Similar to some others, my experience is also that the ramp-up from pressure of 4 leads to a panicked feeling of suffocating. I start at 7 and it's much better. Obviously everyone is different.

Re: Pugsy's Pointers...SleepyHead Tutorial and TX Hints
The Sleepyhead web site seems to be a bit in flux - can I confirm that the latest Mac version is v1.0.0-beta-2, downloadable here? Really looking forward to loading up my data!

Re: Congestion
Look what happens when I don't come by for a few days - loads and loads of good advice that I will have to pore through. Thanks so much everyone. This problem turned out to be the mask. The AirFit P10 was sitting poorly in my nose, and moving over time so that insufficient air was coming in. I got a...

Re: Congestion
Thanks LSAT. I've booked an appointment for tomorrow. I appreciate it's difficult to "diagnose from a distance" like on this forum, and so being able to actually show how it's working will be successful.

Congestion
I'm doing a 30-day free trial with a Respironics System 1 and an AirFit nasal pillow. I'm really struggling, to be honest. I've spent hours wearing it while awake (reading in bed). Everything starts fine, but then I begin to get a feeling that I can't breathe. When I take off the mask, I find that a...

Re: Finally started trial
it depends on what mode you're in, and that's all in the setup screen. there's a setting for whether the heated tube is on, or off, and another for what temp to use. if you don't have a heated tube, then the only heat is coming from the humidifier, and the more humidity you use, the warmer it'll be...

Re: Finally started trial
This is unusual. One possibility is that the exhaust flow from the mask is hitting the bedcovers in an awkward way. I know you are using the P10 pillows and they have a very strongly damped, diffuse exhaust flow. But if things are adjusted just a little bit off, you could be hear whoooo noises that...
