DreamStation always 100% mask fit/ No leak time
I have been on CPAP therapy just about two months now with my DreamStation APAP and it has really helped me. I have been 100% compliant using the machine every night for as long as I sleep, average 6-7 hour a night. I love being about to breath and sleep way better. That being said, I do have to adj...

Prescription needed to order nasal cushions/mask parts?
I was under the impression, which could be wrong, that I didn't need a prescription to order mask parts. A whole mask yes, but not for parts. I think I read it on one of these forums. When I called my DME today to order cushions, my contact said I needed a prescription to order the cushions and my d...

Re: Anyone used the new DreamStation Auto by Phillips?
I've been using the DreamStation just over a month now and the biggest drawback that I can tell is the lack of good software to read the data, as Pugsy said. I am new to CPAP and Sleep Apnea treatment and have only used the DreamStation, so can't compare it to other machines, or really know enough a...

Re: Help! I still dont have a mask that works!
Been using the DreamWear mask for three nights now, after two weeks of switching between a Wisp Nasal Mask and AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow. The DreamWear is awesome so far in my new to CPAP book. Hardly feels like I have anything on and there is nothing up or on your top of nose. It sits below your nost...

Re: 1st night with DreamWear mask - Best night ever.
Second night with mask, still real comfortable, but my AHI# was considerably higher last night at 5.2, it was 1.9 the night before. No settings were changed. Makes me wonder why. I don't think it is mask related.

Re: Funny call from sleep doctors office today
Great post. Sort of like my DME telling me I needed to change the mask cushion of my new DreamWear mask every two weeks and replace all these other parts of my system at ridiculously short intervals. Like the water chamber for the humidifier at something like six months. I am new at this, but it's m...

1st night with DreamWear mask - Best night ever.
Started CPAP 13 days ago with my DreamStation AutoCPAP machine and the two masks I got during my original titration study. A Wisp Nasal Mask and an AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow. I used the Wisp for the titration. I used the AirFit my first two nights at home because I wanted minimal stuff on my face. I l...

Re: What happens after failed insurance trial period?
I was told by my DME that to be compliant with my insurance I would need to use the machine 4 hours or more each night 70% of the time in a 30 day period. I have 11 days under my belt with an average of almost 8 hrs a night. Some nights I would love to just pull it off and snore away, but I am forci...

Re: AHI# increasing/mask problems?
Well I switched the Wisp Mask to an extra large last night, while it no longer felt like it was blocking my nostrils from getting air, my AHI #'s was its highest since starting CPAP at 10.8 on my machine. My DreamMapper app says it was AHI# of 8.3. I did only get 6.5 hours of sleep last night. I thi...

AHI# increasing/mask problems?
Nine nights using my CPAP now. Things seemed to be going pretty well other than the sore I got on my nose from my AirFit P10 Pillow after the first two nights. I switch to my Wisp nasal mask and things seemed fine. My AHI#s were in the 3-4's until two days ago when they jumped into the high 5's and ...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story
Along the lines of mask leaks, I have been using my CPAP for just over a week and both my DreamStation machine and the DreamMapper app have always shown no real leak info saying I have had 100% Mask Fit and no leak info, which I no can't be right. All my days show similar to this as far as leak info...

DreamStation users: AHI# different on display/app?
Hello all, Just finished my first seven nights on CPAP as a newly diagnosed Sleep Apnea patient. I am still learning a lot of the basics. My doctor gave me a DreamStation Auto CPAP machine and I am switching between a Wisp Nasal Mask and AirFit P10 pillow. The pillow gave me a sore on my nose after ...
