Re: Interpreting AHI

Well....I just returned to therapy about a week ago, after a long pause due to severe eye issues, surgeries, couldn’t wear goggles, etc. plus, I had lost a lot of weight on purpose, and my hypopnea was always mild. But, I’ve had sleep disturbance lately, waking up at 3:00 a.m. can’t get back to slee...

Re: Interpreting AHI

Great news! I was able to get Oscar installed properly and successfully obtained my data. I'm not exactly sure how to interpret it, but it looks really good. I'll try to post it around here somewhere for some input. I'll have to figure out how to do that. But, my AHI last night was 0.46, which is a ...

Don't worry about the sleepyhead step. Once you have it installed, star the application, insert your SD card int the computer and click on the SD icon.
Yeah....I did that. It's still not working. I'm going to uninstall and then start over in the morning. Thanks though. That helps.

Re: Interpreting AHI

Question on the Oscar installation. I have downloaded it on my PC, but the instructions talk about importing data from Sleepyhead, which I do not have. All I have are on the SD card. This is the mask I currently have. I like it, but there is a small amount of air that comes from the front just below...

Re: Interpreting AHI

Pugsy, GREAT info. This helps. I hope to get this new mask very soon. The bounce back makes sense. I'll have to sleep on my back until I get the new mask. I do have a port on my PC for the SD card. I can see the content with dates for info, but it won't let me open it without a reader. Anyway, I'll...

Re: Interpreting AHI

I am reviving this thread because I have two new questions. It's been a while since I've posted around here. I hope someone can help me. I've been reading on various threads, but can someone direct me to a thread that will give me step by step instruction on Oscar process? I have installed it on my ...

Re: CPAP and eyes

Thanks for that diagram Kteague. Can you post the link for it, so I can show my doctor? I know he knows anatomy, but, I'd like to point this out. Just to rule it out. I'm desperate.

Re: CPAP and eyes

THANKS PUGSY. I saw something about what you describe, but, you describe it better. I'm going to explore this pronto! Oh, I did get my tear ducts plugged, but, not sure if that helped. One fell out, but, they seem to be about the same now. Odd.... This article addresses goggles for night use. I'm ce...

Re: CPAP and eyes

I found this. https://www.aoa.org/news/clinical-eye-care/sleep-apneas-effect-on-the-eyes Don't know if I have floppy eye lids or not. My doctors have never commented on it. But, I am going to explore this. I was never diagnosed with severe apnea. I had mild to moderate Hpypopneas. I have to confirm ...

Re: CPAP and eyes

Okay. I see. I do check with Res Med My Air daily and have never seen an air leak on my daily reports. Of course, that could be inaccurate. I do use nasal pillows, and normally if one gets a little wonky, I hear it and adjust it immediately. I get a good fit and seal and leaking has never been a pro...

CPAP and eyes

I hope this has not already been addressed. I've searched this site, but, wasn't able to find any threads on it. Has anyone noticed any issues with their eyes since starting cpap treatment? I'm having an issue that I won't go into detail about now (long story), but, it started getting worse when I w...

Re: Who In The Forum Is Diabetic ???

I just ran across this thread and am a Type I diabetic diagnosed 20 years ago. I'm fortunate to have excellent Endocrine and diabetes care, education and treatment at a major teaching hospital. My CDE is a Type I diabetic and has been since childhood, so, I'm quite lucky. She can really relate. I've...
