Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Sooooo, I sucked it up and called Philips again. Actually, the number I called turned out to be a contractor PR has hired to take our irate calls. I registered two System One machines last September, my husband's and my own. No clue from PR on when we'll get our replacements, but have received a cou...

Gramps and I recently received three checks in settlement of our lawsuit against a major insurance company. Our checks added up to $63.42. Our lawyers received $32 million for "attorney fees and litigation expenses". We didn't even know we were suing.
Lol, that sounds exactly like I'd expect!

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Has anyone joined one of the class-action lawsuits?

Makes my skin crawl to think about it, but I'm...pissed.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I also just received the self-serving E from Phillips offering me a whopping $50 for my System One ASV. Or, after more than a year waiting, I NOW must provide a prescription to even stay in line?? I wish them all to try to stay alive in small-town America where the three "sleep specialists" are 1) a...

Re: Any hybrid mask (or glasses wearing) users w/ high pressure?

I agree with Pugsy. I use the Hybrid occasionally (I prefer the Quattro FX as my go-to mask) and I also use the F10. I have found the softcap blue mesh headgear to be superior to the headgear that comes with these masks. It supports the mask better and doesn't stretch out around the back of my head...

Re: Question for everyone about tape

3M Micropore has worked best for me so far. They make one that's 2" wide.

Blue painter's tape couldn't handle the drool load.

I also use Poligrip strips with some success.

No perfect system yet....

Re: One year -- whazzup with these numbers?

Congrats on your major improvements! I hope things continue to improve! Thanks, M'ohms! Regressed a little Thursday night with 3 centrals, 1 obstructive, 71 hypops and an AHI of 9.83. But last night was 0 centrals, 0 obstructives, 19 hypops and an AHI of 2.14. And slept well ('cept for my middle-of...

Re: One year -- whazzup with these numbers?

I see your usual one block of time where you were up and awake...how was the rest of the sleep? Last night and the night before I had way better sleep than usual. Yeah, still waking up for my middle-of-the-run sleep break , but the rest of those nights felt really good. Best two nights of sleep I'v...

Re: One year -- whazzup with these numbers?

Thanks, M'ohms! Really appreciate your input. I will rack up some nights and see how things go. I did much better last night (night 3 on ASV). Felt like I slept well. Better than I've slept in months! Didn't notice any pressure increases; didn't feel any weird breathing patterns. It does feel like I...

Re: Seven months -- whazzup with these numbers?

Second night on ASV. No centrals, no obstructives. All hypops. From other forum posts, sounds like that's not unusual. So helpful to have all these forum posts available. I felt like I dealt better with the pressure last night, but had a couple episodes that caused problems where the ASV was making ...

Re: I am new and still having a hard time

I've had the same struggles here. And bless the folks on this forum, I've received a LOT of help. So far, the greatest success I've had is using nasal pillows and holding my mouth shut with Poligrip strips and/or 3M Micropore tape. The tape will irritate my skin if I have to take off more than one s...

Re: One year -- whazzup with these numbers?

First night on ASV. Sleepyhead stats below. I felt like it was pushing a LOT of air into me. When I woke up just before 5, I opted to not restart 'cuz I was afraid my chest was going to be sore from all the pressure. So kind of a half-night of stats here. * What is going on between 3:45 and 4:15 Pat...

Re: Seven months -- whazzup with these numbers?

LOL...let's put it this way. Even if I didn't drink before I was a PAP patient, I'd certainly be drinking now!!! Dumbass twinkies. Worth a real bender. I mean really, why is it such a monumental struggle to get the most basic, minimally adequate health care? And why am I THE BAD GUY for trying to im...
