Re: Pill for Sleep Apnea
I tried https://www.mynaturesrite.com/product/sleep-apnea-relief/ (purchased on Amazon) for the past two nights while using my CPAP. Using the Lookee Pulse/Oximeter. My oxygen went from an average of 93, 94, 95 all the way to 98 I had zero 4 percent drops (usually had 10 to 20 per night) and my tota...

Re: Mask Fluttering and jumping
I assume the machine uses FOT to measure and report the event. My pressure is set at a single level so it's not like it can use the reading to ramp up additional pressure. My respiration reading is always averages around 16 or greater. The closer one is to 10 or 12 breaths per minute the less likely...

Mask Fluttering and jumping
I am using a Resmed AirSense 10 with a Wisp mask. Exhale relief is set at 3. While awake if I slow down my breathing to 8 or 10 seconds per breath the mask will start to flutter or jump. (I use slow breathing to relax) It's almost like the machine is telling me to breath more. To test it I deliberat...

Re: Accurate measure of AHI without Cpap
I have been doing it for years. I don't need to be schooled in what does and doesn't work - I just want to find a way to measure without a Cpap...

Re: Accurate measure of AHI without Cpap
Sort of a long story - my pressure should be 13 (and I still have an AHI of close to 5.0) however through a method I've developed I have been able to reduce my pressure to 4 and have an AHI to 0.0 with a top of 0.3. A pressure of 6 is more comfortable so I keep it there. I frequently us the method a...

Accurate measure of AHI without Cpap
Is there anything that will accurately measure breathing events on nights I don't use a Cpap??? I have a pulse oximeter but it really doesn't appear to be very accurate. Maybe there is a better brand - or something??? -s-

Why does this lower my AHI
I have posted some about this in the past but now really want to know why this lowers my AHI so dramatically. I cut two small pieces of 3M waterproof tape and punch a 4.5mm hole in each. I place each piece of tape over a nostril where the 4.5mm hole is about in the center. Once done I am effectively...

Re: Herbal Treatments for Apnea
I really feel sorry for the person who posted the original question about "Sleep Apnea Relief" from Amazon. This forum is dominated by a handful of users with very closed minds. I have a close friend who is having extremely good success with this product so I plan to try it myself. I guess long-term...

Re: Non-Vented Masks
Currently on a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset. I have reduced my max pressure from 12 to 9 which did reduce some of the CAs but not a lot. I usually set the expiratory relief at 1 or 2. I am clearly a hyperventilator as perhaps all people with apnea (central and obstructive) are. Normal respiration shou...

Re: Non-Vented Masks
Slarty - thank you!!! So how does one prevent or slow Co2 washout that contributes to CAs? When I restrict my nostrils to 4mm holes with waterproof tape (using a Wisp mask) my medium respiration rate comes down from 17 or 18 to 15 or 16 and the CAs disappear. My AHI drops from close to or above 5 to...

Re: Non-Vented Masks
This is a commercial, use at home non-vented mask: Mojo® Full Face Ventilation Mask. I think it has to be safer than that our they wouldn't be readily available: http://www.sleepnetmasks.com/respirator ... face-mask/

Re: Non-Vented Masks
Non-Vented masks are used regularly in hospitals: http://www.resmed.com/int/products/hospital_nv_full_face/hospital-nv-full-face.html?nc=dealers Cpaps tend to wash out the needed Co2. I'm not talking about added Co2 just preventing it from washing out which would be increasing it over regular Cpap C...

Non-Vented Masks
Has anyone ever used a non-vented mask to increase Co2 or to prevent it from washing out and causing more CAs?
