Re: Sinus lift and Neil med sinus rinse
I’m having a sinus lift soon. Is it okay to use the sinus rinse while recovering from that surgery, especially since I’ll have to temporarily stop using cpap? It's best to speak to your doctor about this. None of us are doctors. I hope you've received a second opinion on this procedure. Best of luc...

Re: Stopping CPAP Due to Sinus Lift Bone Graft
Thanks, chunkyfrog, but mask not an issue. Using a recliner and a humidifier are the only strategies I’ve come up with so far for enduring no cpap.

Re: Stopping CPAP Due to Sinus Lift Bone Graft
I’m having a sinus lift bone graft over two teeth (#13+14) in preparation for implants. Dr said I’ll need to temporarily stop CPAP during recovery Was there any explanation of WHY? If it's that your mask would press on stuff, would a different style mask work instead? Thanks for your message, paler...

Stopping CPAP Due to Sinus Lift Bone Graft
I’m having a sinus lift bone graft over two teeth (#13+14) in preparation for implants. Dr said I’ll need to temporarily stop CPAP during recovery. I’ve pretty much used my CPAP every night since I started using it years ago. I’m worried about not using it as I have severe OSA. When I asked doctor h...

Re: Sinus lift and Neil med sinus rinse
Many times they have to perform a sinus lift to insert implants in the maxillary, that is because the bone is much less dense than the mandible. Because the bone is less dense, they are more prone to fail. You need to see your oral surgeon ASAP for a panoramic x-ray to examine the state of your imp...

Re: Replacing filters
I got my Resemed Airsense 10 For Her in January 2019. I have changed the disposable filter twice in six months although upon examination, the "old" filters looked exactly the same as the replacement filters. There was no discernible difference in color between the old and the new filters. I tried b...

Re: Camping power options for Respironics PR System One REMstar APAP or Resmed AirSense 10 for Her APAP
I'm pretty sure the power cord the the System One is unique to the System One. The input is straight 12V, so if the connector fits there's a good chance it will work. However, the warning that it is only for pressure under 11 makes me thing its undersized. The cable for the system one is heavy duty...

Camping power options for Respironics PR System One REMstar APAP or Resmed AirSense 10 for Her APAP
I'm trying to figure out if I need to replace my charging equipment. In 2003, I had a Respironics Aria LX CPAP. For using CPAP while camping, I got a Respironics #1001979 Shielded DC Power Cord System and a 100 Amp Hour 12V deep cycle marine battery per Respironics recommendation. The Shielded DC Po...

Re: What to do when all methods of sleep apnea treatment are exhausted?
Sometimes achieving successful CPAP therapy depends on putting all of the pieces together with your sleep team which includes your sleep doctor, durable medical equipment supplier with experienced technicians, and YOU. Keep trying, it's worth it! My mouth started dropping open at night after using C...

Re: Trying to donate 2 of our cpap machines
When I got my new Resmed AirSense 10 this year, I tried to find a place to donate my older, backup machines that still worked. I always keep the most recently used machine as backup. After doing an online search, I found that many of the charitable organizations will only accept used CPAP machines t...

Re: Respironics Nuance Pro Gel Nasal Pillow Mask larger headger
The Respironics website doesn't indicate different sizes for the Nuance Pro Gel headgear: http://www.theanswer.philips.com/masks/nuance/ordering/
However, you might try contacting them to see if a larger size might be available: http://www.theanswer.philips.com/contact/
Good luck!

Re: New Philips Respironics' Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask
Sunflower: check out the headgear straps at padacheek.com. They have the padded fleece strap covers that will fit most full face headgears. I use the same cover for my F10 and my Fitlife Total mask. Sheriff Hi Sheriff, Thanks for the recommendation! I didn't know that padacheek.com made strap cover...

Re: New Philips Respironics' Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask
This was my first attempt at a full face mask. I started mouth breathing last year and have tried chin straps, cervical collars, and mouth taping. I've been using 3M Micropore paper first aid tape, which has worked alright--I just don't like taping so I thought I'd try a full face mask when it was t...

Re: Anybody just give up?
I'm also a pretty severe insomniac, I get about 20-25 hrs of sleep in a week, so I tend to just sit there with this mask on looking at the ceiling until I give up and just get out of bed. You didn't mention it, but I'm hoping that your sleep doctor is treating your insomnia as well? It actually sou...
