Removing insulation that caused recall of Philips System One

I have been posting asking about this and I have been unable to find any replies or even my message. Is there a thread or place that I should be discussing this. After waiting months and getting no answers or replacement from Philips and being scared about using the machine, I want to remove the ins...

Medicare and the CPAP Recall

When you get a replacement from Phillips in the Recall, does it affect your Medicare if you dont ask for a new one? I might be entitled to a new one after five years, but didnt want to go through the hassle since this one works fine, and its doing its job, is quiet and reliable, and the data works w...

APRIA sent my small bill to COLLECTION AGENCY, after telling me in was a mistake and they would reverse it.

Why we hate APRIA..APRIA sent my small bill to COLLECTION AGENCY, after telling me in was a mistake and they would reverse it. Medicare and my supplemental carrier have always paid for everything and I don't order anything extra. Collection Agency is Global Receivables Solutions Inc. and they sent m...

Should I update Sleepyhead

I set up Sleephead about 18 months ago, when I became a CPAP user, and appreciate it. Thanks Jedimark and Pugsy for the program and the support. Made a donation... It took some effort and support to get it working, and it works just fine. (Version 0.9.6 BrokenGL ) Is there any real reason to update ...

Re: Why do many of our messages not show our Machines

Thanks. Not a big deal for me, as my humidifier description reveals my machine, but can put in as signature. I guess the board is really trying to influence the sale of products by this factual information censorship. Are negative reviews of products censored?

Why do many of our messages not show our Machines

I noticed that my Machine description is not being listed in my messages, even though I have in in my profile here. Since I now see that the Machine is not listed for many of us here in our messages, including for people like Pugsy who know what they are doing, there may be some problem with CPAPTal...

Respironics Auto, Heater Host temp goes off or down

Have Philips Respironics 60 Series REMstar with Humidifier and heater hose. Now that its cold at night I need the heater hose, but cant get it to heat much. It seems if you have humidifier at less that 5, which I want, the setting for the heater hose resets to a lower setting to match the number of ...

Re: Best recording oximeter today

Thanks Pugsy, You are a great source of information and technology. I think the CMS 50 DPlus is fine for my purposes, which, since you asked are only to check once in while to make sure Oxygen levels are okay. As long at its recording and can interface with your Sleepyhead, that is all I need at thi...

Best recording oximeter today

I want to get a recoding oximeter now, and am looking at different ones. I would like it to easily work with Sleepyhead, since it is such a great program, but if the price or quality is better, I can ballpark time and events. Main thing is to make sure no low oxygen, since even with CPAP and/or dent...

My tongue is between my dental device (MAD).

I am now using a dental device for my sleep apnea, It is a dental device mandibular advancement device (MAD) that moves my lower jaw out when I sleep. Seems to be working, but I find that I have my tongue between it, so it may be that it works because it pull my tongue forward, rather than moving lo...

Re: Wisp Clear vs Fabric frame

I would go with the fabric. I had this at first and ordered replacement at 6 months from Apria, and they sent the hard on. I thought it was just upgraded, and used it. It was not only uncomfortable, but when I slept on my side it twisted my ear and I got Cauliflower Ear. Ouch, and stiches, pain and ...
