AirMini data issues

Really suffering from the inability to read detailed data from my new Air Mini traveling in the UK. Mask fit scores of 12 and 8 out of 20 for two out of 7 nights - anyone know what that means in terms of %age large leaks? Others have been "good" 18-20.

No you won’t- apnea’s don’t happen when you’re awake

Replacement machine on insurance

When have most folks got the OK to replace a machine - 5 yrs? I am with BCBS and have great cover, but bought a second machine cash. I have 2 S( Autosets working just fine now.

Re: Yearly Sleep Doctor Appointments?

If your insurance pays and the doctor gives solid advice, do it.

TSA and CPAPs

Anyone else been asked by TSA agents at airports to take their CPAP out of its case for x-ray? No idea what more they expect to see and it's far from consistent. Not happening in Europe, just the US in my experience.

Re: HST results and questions

Wait for the real sleep lab. I bet you have apnea but your AHI may be in the low risk range. Then come back and talk to us...

Re: Should I make any adjustments?

Are you using an alarm to wake? Grogginess sounds like you may be waking "off cycle". My cycles are about 90 minutes long so I do well on 7.5 or 9 hours sleep, less well on 8.

Almost illegal

These people should be hung out to dry if a single Apnea sufferer believes their BS:

Re: He's got: Wild AHI Swings

Triage basics:

1. What's the pressure setting? If it's low it could be a problem. If it's high it could be driving leaks
2. What's the leak rate? - if it's high on bad nights the mask is not working
3. What's the mask type - if not full face then mouth leaks could be an issue.

Hope this helps

That variety is the reason that nasal pillows especially the P20s are so popular.

Re: Need urgent help: ResMed fried on 240v

I've never had the slightest problem so far with either of my S9s on 240 volts anywhere worldwide. How old was the power supply?

Re: Amara View update along with some major issues

Try the training thing by positioning your tongue behind your top front teeth. Try nose breathing like this a lot during the day. If your nose is blocking try nasal rinses and Flonase type sprays.
