Re: Phillips deficient in sizing of Dreamwear cushions

'chunkyfrog' The Question is what interface design suits an individual's face. I have tried many. The best for me is Respironics nostrils cushion, latest incarnation is in its Dreamwear design which has air passage tube forming the headgear, one leg down each side of face. It is a derivative of the ...

Re: Phillips deficient in sizing of Dreamwear cushions

Nothing more from Phillips nor on vendor websites I checked. I tried the pillows version of Dreamwear because I ended up with the wrong product from SleepEh, not good. So I continue to buy spare L cushions, price of fitpacks way up. With the L I have to fiddle a lot to ensure seal at each end of nos...

'Chunky Frog':
No.
Only one thread on that subject by me.

Another thread by me is on filters for Remstar legacy machines.

Respironics Dreamwear cushion interface in short supply

Respironics Dreamwear cushion interface appears to be in short supply. And spare cushions too except for Small size. That's the best interface I've tried, of many. I do want an XL cushion, I've popped the request into Phillips with pointer that many people have long nostrils, I guess as many as have...

Supplies for legacy RemStar in short supply from dealers

Fine filters 1005945 are hard to find from dealers. cpapoutlet.ca falsely claims filter is same as M series (looks similar but is much different size). I guess that's what eBay is for, any available through it. So I bought enough to lasts the life of my legacy machines. Those machines be Auto, Pro, ...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

"mp6617 ' Good experimentation work. For nose stuffiness you might try Vicks VapORub when up in the night, blowing your nose a few times after inhaling it. (It is confusingly named 'rub' because the original notion of its use was to apply to chest so vapours would be inhaled. I just put a bit in eac...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

As usual, I point out that finding an interface with good fit can be challenging, try to find a provider who studies, learns, and offers a wide selection. (Yes, beyond that may take some getting accustomed to something on your face and the air pressure plus exhalation resistance. Some people have lo...

Re: Sleep deprived newb making progress - FF mask questions

Well excuse me jerker, I neglected to document with photographs.

Of course if you had a clue you'd look at masks from several years ago, and variations for hospital environment. Do your homework.

Re: Phillips deficient in sizing of Dreamwear cushions

'chunky frog' omits that some designs indeed are designed to work. IMJ Swift nostril pillows, Phillips Wisp nose cup, Phillips Dream under nose cushion are. But Phillips predecessor to that one was incompetently designed, clever looking but hopeless in use even when modified. (Respironics ComfortCur...

Thankyou 'Dog Slobber'.

Information is valuable in the zoo of interfaces, which are a key reason for 40% of people who try CPAP abandoning it.

Re: Phillips deficient in sizing of Dreamwear cushions

I received a reply from one of the persons in Phillips that I emailed, promising to pass my request to the right department to be considered for future 'enhancement'. You want tall nostrils, check https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/topstories/yellen-says-u-s-banks-likely-to-pull-back-credit-cnn-intervi...

Re: restricted nasal airway - reason for tiredness?

There are of course various reasons for poor sleep: - using computer late in evening is suggested as unwise (my Lenovo Thinkpad has a setting to reduce blueness of backlight after a time it can be set for) - perhaps what you eat - booze impairs sleep - warmth of bedding (I try to keep shoulders warm...
