Re: Figures in colored bars under AHI OSCAR

I'm sorry, I do not understand "go up north a bit to check the ice" Oh right, Alabama. Guess you never seen that before. https://i.imgur.com/wA2h8fa.jpeg Okay, just shootin the breeze. Maybe someone will chime in with how to interpret the figures in color coded bars under AHI in OSCAR. I found Slee...

Re: Figures in colored bars under AHI OSCAR

I cannot find a percentage of the total time in apnea during a sleep session. Should I do a calculation of sleep time and total time in apnea? Sure, WTF, I got nothing better to do. OK maybe not. We're gonna go up north a bit to check the ice. I hear it's pretty safe. That said, you'd do better usi...

Re: Figures in colored bars under AHI OSCAR

If total time in apnea is not the time you are not breathing then what is the purpose of total time in apnea?

Figures in colored bars under AHI OSCAR

Please forgive my failing memory, I may have asked these before. I have searched here and other places but can't find answers to: 1. Why do the figures beneath Large Leak (color coded event bars) not have % signs? 2. Are the figures without percent signs percentages, e.g. .68 = 68%? 4. How do the va...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

I asked the question if this looked like "chin tucking." With research I see it could be.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

It's been 25 days since my post of a very awful looking OSCAR report with no replies. Maybe it is too bizarre for a comment. I know how busy volunteers here must be. Since then I have given up on a collar and mouth taping. So little air will pass through my nose at times, I need an open mouth availa...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

I failed to remove some pillows down to one thin one for the first half of this report. I had fallen asleep sitting up. Second half, I had wakened removed extra pillows, and moved to side sleeping with only one thin pillow. I had tape and collar on with full face mask. The collar may have been too l...

Re: My cpap machine smells like the last place it was used

The same happened here. I had one of my CPAP machines in a rental for over a year. Got it back home and the smell of the rental is in the machine and does not want to leave. I had to rigorously treat the rental for bad smells for two weeks before I moved in. I left a few years back and brought the s...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

I tried the Corflex collar for two nights. The first night went well but last night serious neck pain resulted. I have a metal plate screwed to my cervical vertebra C 2-3-4 so maybe that makes a collar not an option. In my latest quest for better OSCAR reports and sleep I am using: 1. mouth tape 2. ...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

Have tried three collars and they all cause neck pain due to their thickness pressing against the side of my neck especially while sleeping on my side. I wonder why chin tucking was never mentioned to me after my 5 sleep studies. I wonder if chin tucking can skew the results of a sleep study. Would ...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

I am on tape number four and found two that work. PAPMD does well even with my full beard. I had a few strips fail but was informed I had some from a bad run. A replacement pack was shipped and those are doing the job. I just got in a product from Amazon called Cover-Roll stretch tape. This roll of ...

Re: Events per hour

I get a < than 1 event per hour once in a very blue moon. I can't feel the difference from that other low scores. I was trying to correlate my Lookee Oximeter Ring reports to AHI scores but failed since the oxygen levels seem the same no matter what the AHI score is, but I may have given up on that ...

Re: Cervical collar for a weak chin?

Granny, hope you don't mind me asking: if you have to tape anyway why use a FFM? For the first time I got tape to hold my mouth shut last night. I have used a FFM for 15 years. I guess if I can keep my mouth shut, could I use nasal pillows? I only got 3 hours sleep last night, but it was nice to wa...
