Re: My AirSense 11 is crazy thirsty
Hmm.. Well, when I'm awake and up, I often heat the house in the colder months and that does tend to dry things out. But I sleep with the window open and the heater off. I don't live in a particularly dry climate. And this was never a problem with my Philips Respironics System One, which could go fo...

My AirSense 11 is crazy thirsty
Hello, everyone. I recently upgraded my CPAP from a Philips Respironics System One (OLD) a ResMed AirSense 10, which I had for a short while and which was then exchanged for an AirSense 11. (To be honest, I kind of liked the AirSense 10 a little better then the 11, but that's another discussion.) Bo...

Re: Looking for recommendations for travel backup battery
I believe I was one of the people who started some of the "camping" discussions when I was tryin to figure out how to power my CPAP at home in case of power outage. Now I'm asking primarily something different. I'm asking what I can take with me when traveling (by plane) to power the CPAP for at lea...

Looking for recommendations for travel backup battery
Last week I was on a brief trip out of the country (in Mexico) when my section of town lost power for 18 hours. I got no sleep that night, due to the inability to run my CPAP. At home I now have very robust power backup for my CPAP, such that I could run it more or less indefinitely without power fr...

Shopping for a DC adapter for my new AirSense 10 machine
I finally have a new CPAP machine! (I must have been the last person to be using the Philips Respironics System One machines long after the recall.) Now I need to get myself a DC adapter, so I can plug the machine into my solar generator when the power goes out. I found one on CPAP.com for $95, but ...

Waking up with massive head neck and shoulder ache during head cold
Hello everyone. I haven't posted here in a long time. I've been recovering from a pretty annoying head cold. Now at the stage when the congestion is more thick and less runny (sorry for the TMI). My CPAP is what allows me to sleep with this cold, but the last two days I've been waking up too early w...

No distilled water!
Hello, everyone. I live in Northern California, San Francisco Bay Area. In my city and in at least one surrounding town, there seems to be a drastic shortage of distilled water. Is anybody else dealing with this? I haven't been able to find it for weeks and have now officially run out. I'm thinking ...

Re: I have a bad sinus infection and using my CPAP HURTS!
what can I do? Are you doing saline nasal rinses twice per day? https://www.amazon.com/NeilMed-NasaFlo-Unbreakable-Premixed-Packets/dp/B000ITHH86/ref=sr_1_23 You could use Nasalcort or a similar spray after the nasal rinses. I haven't been using nasal sprays, no, since antibiotics are involved and ...

I have a bad sinus infection and using my CPAP HURTS!
Hello, folks. I haven't been on this board in ages. Have mostly been contentedly using my CPAP, mostly with the DreamWear nose pillow mask. But now I have a problem. Due to some dental work gone wrong I had a big infection in my mouth that went on for a couple of months -- I know: not good. When the...

Re: My DC charger isn't working with my Respironics CPAP
It never fails to amuse me that some people can't google. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/dc-power-cord-pr-system-one-60-series-machines This is essentially what I bought before and what I was referring to as an adapter. I guess it's not an adapter it's a cord. Mine was cheaper and, as I said, doe...

My DC charger isn't working with my Respironics CPAP
I recently bought a "car charger" DC adapter that claims that it's made to work with Philips Respironics System One 60. The specs are DC 11-24 volt, output 12 volt 1A-2A. I just plugged it in and the thing definitely does not work with my CPAP. When I try to run it the CPAP makes repeated little "pu...

Re: Need a practical solution for recharging while off grid
You can't recharge a cpap battery from a car battery. You'll end up without a charged car battery, so you'd have to run the car. Essentially your car becomes a generator. If you had the cpap battery, in this case a lead acid type, properly installed so that it could be charged at capacity it would ...

Need a practical solution for recharging while off grid
I seem to be on a never-ending project of trying to figure out how to power my CPAP off grid. First priority is to have a backup for power outages -- possibly last many days. Second priority is to be able to go camping. I use a humidifier. That takes more power. Most recent measurements are that I u...
