Re: travel / backup machine suggestions
I had a Resmed Auto M series machine as a backup I took all over the world. Great compact machine. Wish I had kept it.

Re: Distilled Water Shortage?
There used to be several shelves of distilled water at our local grocery at 88 cents a gallon. Now the shelves are nearly empty, there’s a 2 gallon limit and it’s $1.48 a gallon

Re: CPAP replacement for someone newly under Medicare
Are some Advantage plans doing something they shouldn't be doing? From my experience an Advantage plan will follow basic Medicare guidelines for benefits and then go a bit further to cover the costs for the insured. If Medicare has paid Kaiser or any other insurer the rental for the 13 months and t...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like
I’ve had my Airsense 10 Autoset about four years. It is as quiet as the day I got it. Once I had sort of a wheezing noise but I made sure the humidifier tank was seated and the noise disappeared. It’s hard to believe you could get three consecutive faulty machine. Is it possible for some people to h...

Re: Resmed AirSense 11 adapter for SoClean 2 or 3
Had my annual check up with my CPAP doctor today. As we were finishing up he said, “by the way I hope you’re not using a SoClean on your Resmed because you CPAP probably won’t last five years if you do.” I have seen Captain Kirk hyping those on TV for awhile. Hopefully the company is going out of bu...

I’ve used the adjustable strap with my p10. The only problem is the strap slips and won’t stay where I set it.

I’m taking Brilinta which I wasn’t taking previously as well as a statin. I’m starting some rehab this week. Haven’t checked on types of events.

Stent changed ahi
For nearly a decade my ahi readings have usually been below 1. Recently I had to have a stent put in and since then my readings are usually between 5 and 10 although my leak rate hasn’t changed. Can’t understand how a stent could make any difference

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
My wife and I both got our seconD Pfizer shots three weeks ago. In our state anyone over 16 can get the vaccine now. I have a retired doctor friend in Ottawa. He and his wife just got their first Pfizer shot and were told because of shortages the won’t get the second round for four months! Was extra...

Re: Are oral appliances worth the thousands of dollars?
My wife started with a cpap and after about five years spent $3000 for an oral appliance. After about a year she went back to a machine. She had all sorts of jaw problems while using the appliance. When tests showed I had apnea it thought an appliance would be a lot better than a machine (wife was u...

Re: ResMed versus Respironics
Some talking about not given a choice of machine. When I got my first one the doctor prescribed a specific brand—one hardly anyone else was using. I did some checking and found I could get a different brand if I did it within 30 days. So I switched to an S9. When it was time for another machine I de...
