Re: S9 on plane and other alternatives
Thanks, robysue1! 14-year veteran here but last time I went to Europe, I didn’t use it on the plane. This time we have biz class and beds 😁. I don’t understand the whole voltage, amps, watts thing, so that’s why I was asking. I will use it, but was hoping some new invention allowed me to not have to...

S9 on plane and other alternatives
Hi everyone! Ok, so I’m going on an overseas red eye and want to sleep. I’m taking my old S9 without humidifier. I have original power supply. Plane has outlet for 120 volt appliances. Is the S9 ok to use on the plane? Also, for temporary situations like this, does anyone have any non-cpap alternati...

Re: Aerophagia?
Pugsy, thank you for your reply! I will try to adjust the pressure a bit and see what happens. I’ve always had heartburn, since teens. However, in the past few years, I had to start taking Nexium daily or else the heartburn is unbearable by evening. So, yes, it has gotten worse. This stomach pain th...

Re: Aerophagia?
Ozij, I don’t think it’s my machine as it’s happening with two different machines. It might be my pressure (8) but I’ve actually gained weight, not lost it. Yes I tracked my data but it’s on the machine that was stolen (unless on a cloud somewhere). I have the past four weeks data though with the ma...

Re: Post Op anesthesia pain meds and sleep apnea
I second Miss Emerita's post. I had complications in surgery because I forgot to mention sleep apnea (and anesthesiologist didn’t ask).

Aerophagia?
For the past several months, I have been waking most mornings with stomach pain that radiates to my back. I have done multiple tests with doctors to find what’s wrong, to no avail. Could it be after 13 years of using my CPAP, I have developed Aerophagia? Is there a way to test for it or determine fo...

Re: My Philips Dreamstation broke following a power outage this morning. Need help.
Is the humidifier connected all the way? Maybe the machine isn’t reading it because it’s not fully connected. Did the seller say it worked? Did you test it with seller? Worse case, case you use the machine for now without humidification? Wish I could help more, but I have a Resmed.

Re: Trying to get supplies from HMO nightmare
The whole situation with DME’s is horrific. Imagine if we had diabetes and the supplier took months to send needles or sent the wrong ones. We’d all be dead!

Re: Day 2 of CPAP. So many emotions. Mostly just exhausted. Help.
Hang in there! It took me a REALLY long time to get used to my cpap. But I persevered and here I am, 13 years later and I won’t sleep without it (that is until I left it at an airport and no one turned it in; 2 crap nights of sleep before I got home to my backup machine). I believe cpap helps me liv...

Re: Do you have a back up CPAP incase of emergencies?
I debated getting rid of my S9 after I got my Airsense 10. Sooo glad I didn’t. I left my CPAP at airport and no one turned it in. Using S9 until I get another machine. Always have backup supplies, too.

Thanks for your post! I have a very high deductible and needed a good resource, too! Keep ‘em coming! Also didn’t realize that DME could be separate from deductible, so need to look up my benefits.

Re: CPAP machine gone
Pugsy,
Ah! Got it. I already do minimal humidification. The noise factor, though, might be a problem. Wonder if a local DME has a sample one I could listen to…
