Re: How are you tracking your sleep quality?

I use an Apple Watch and it does a pretty good job of tracking sleep.

I've also been using that tape and it works a treat! I agree, peeling the tape off SLOWLY in the morning is key, I learned that the hard way...

Re: Going to the Potty at Nighttime

I turn my machine off and take my mask all the way off. But my mask is pretty easy to get on and off. I have BPH, so a pretty good night for me is only getting up twice.

Re: Sinus Infection Emergency

I get occasional sinus infections, but for me, they present differently. For me they are much farther back at the top of my throat. I have had good luck with using Flonase when they happen. That may help you, but you should make sure that it won't interfere with any other meds you may be taking. Hav...

Re: Oximeter Recommendations

I want to second (or is it third at this point?) the recommendation of a Wellue O2Ring. I have one and it's really easy to use. I looked at those oximeters that just sit on the fingertip, and I just knew that there was no way that I'd be able to keep that in place while I slept. I wear my O2Ring on ...

Re: Insurance changed my CPAP equipment (presumably without notifying my doctor)

I understand your disappointment in not getting the machine you wanted. But the AirSense 11 isn't exactly a downgrade. I think you'll grow to like it. I do understand wanting the swivel instead of the connector that comes on the AirSense 11, but I'd be willing to bet that you won't notice after a sh...

Re: Resmed Slimline vs. standard tubing - how it works, settings

If you go for the ClimateLine heated hose you won't need your fleece hose cover Using a hose cover will make the unit use less electricity because the heater won't need to heat as much, (if any). Granted. But the OP is looking to save bulk and complications to make travel easier. The use of a cover...

Re: Resmed Slimline vs. standard tubing - how it works, settings

I leave my Climateline Air tubing set the same year around. It automatically found the right temperature in my icy hospital room. I haven't had to use it in a hospital room, but I use the ClimateLine and have humidity set to Auto on my AirSense 10 and I have never had reason to complain. Works a tr...

Re: Resmed Slimline vs. standard tubing - how it works, settings

If you go for the ClimateLine heated hose you won't need your fleece hose cover and travel will be that much simpler. Also humidity control will be better. Additionally, the ClimateLine hose is automatically detected by the machine.

Re: CPAP Supplies Last Up To 4x Longer in Austrlia per ResMed - Or Is It That Allowed Insurance Replacement Rules Differ

In my opinion the periodicity of replacement in the US is indefensible! There is no way hoses, reservoirs, even masks need to be replaced as often as these insurers allow. It's no wonder we pay such high premiums for insurance! How did insurance providers in Australia get so much smarter that those ...

Re: AirFit P10 Short Hose Cozy / Barrel Condensation

I ordered a 10" short hose cozy. I'm thinking that having the first 10" out of the heated hose insulated, plus a barrel cozy, will probably be more than enough, and it will leave the last 8" of the short hose unencumbered so it can do it's thing without problem. Now I have to wait for cooler weather...

Re: AirFit P10 Short Hose Cozy / Barrel Condensation

Sometimes it's only a 1 degree difference in air temp in that nasal pillow barrel that will keep condensation away. The barrel cozy might be enough. I assume that you can't increase the hose air temp???? A short hose cozy is going to add some weight and some loss of flexibility depending on what it...

AirFit P10 Short Hose Cozy / Barrel Condensation

I like to keep my bedroom nice and cool. This can create problems with condensation, especially from my exhalation. I have a heated hose, but I recently switched masks to the AirFit P10. I have barrel cozies on the way from Pad a Cheek, but I'm a little concerned that because of the mask's design th...
