Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - AC/DC adapter?

Interesting, I think I've read that the standard S9 (and presumably air 10) DC/DC converter is 90%+ but I might be imagining that, or that may be 'claimed' vs 'real world'. I haven't seen any efficiency spec from Resmed for the AS11 DC/DC converter. Doesn't seem like the kind of detail they would p...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - AC/DC adapter?

Drifting a bit off topic here, but from an engineering perspective there can definitely be advantages with 24v. It allows smaller gauge wiring, and lower motor mass (smaller windings) that reduces inertia and allows faster response to RPM changes. That would certainly be a benefit in implementing fo...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - AC/DC adapter?

I'll update this to say that the DC/DC converter is still working well in my setup, having been used every night since early November 2021. My main objective was as a long-running UPS to cover power outages, and indeed I have slept right through several power outages with no interruption at all. It'...

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - Where to buy ??

...we had a bunch of HSA funds to spend... ... ...but the HSA funds were use or loose. HSA funds are not "use or lose". HSA balances carry forward until used. Maybe you meant FSA? Those typically expire at year end. Just don't want someone reading this to think their HSA is lost at year end, becaus...

Re: mandated doctor appointments for supplies?

As Pugsy said, "It depends on your insurance". And the Insurance companies are increasingly adding hoops and obstacles to avoid paying benefits. I've been on CPAP and with the same Insurance for 18 years. But in 2020, the insurance company started requiring a doctor's visit within the last year to p...

Re: How to display flow limitations on OSCAR?

Take a look at File->Preferences->Waveforms. There are two columns of checkboxes. In the "CPAP Waveforms" column, make sure the Flow Limitation box has a checkmark. If you also want it on the Overview graphs, put a checkmark in that box as well.

Re: SmartStop on Resmed Airsense 11 Autoset

If you have ANY significant leakage issues at all, then you should disable the (not-so-) Smart Stop feature. Otherwise, it will just keep turning therapy off every time it sees an extended large leak (exact threshold not published by manufacturer, so it’s anybody’s guess). If I had left the machine ...

Re: Tear in Hose Tubing: Recommendations for Repair

You've out'd me Zonker, as an unabashed fan of the ol' Red Green show. "If it doesn't stick and it should, apply Duct Tape. If it sticks and it shouldn't, apply WD40." But seriously, any health concern over "fumes from duct tape" needs to be tempered with what is it's "defined purpose in life" -- wh...

Re: Tear in Hose Tubing: Recommendations for Repair

If that is a Heated AS11 tube, it will be hard to find. Your DME *may* have one on hand. When I got my AS11, the DME was (and still is) backordered about 4 weeks on these. I treat my AS11 tube and humidifier like FABERGE EGGS right now, because replacements are not easily available. Choices are a ta...

Re: Airsense 11 cellular data

The "slash" through the cell strength bars indicates "no signal". Either the cellular signal is too weak, or (less likely) there is something wrong with the machine's cellular modem / antenna. As for why the 10 would work.... It may be using a different carrier. On the 11, click "More", scroll down ...

Re: Where can I get an Airsense 11?

My "guy" says these are really hard to get now. Do you know of a place that has them in stock? welcome to the zoo! apparently, they ARE scarce on the ground. a few people have shown up here who have purchased, perhaps they'll be kind enough to let you know from where. meantime, a quick google searc...

Re: AirSense 11 general questions

Hello @gosman, Congrats on your new AS11. 1. Any SD card will work. You're best getting one <32gb, but I've tested up to 256gb and they work fine. If the AS11 doesn't like the format (i.e., >32gb cards usually come formatted ExFat and the AS11 doesn't like that) then the AS11 will automatically refo...

Re: Resmed N30i Leaks

The large leaks are gone from your most recent chart, so that's good. But if you had to tighten the headgear to the point the P30i was painful, something's still wrong. It can take a lot of experimentation to find the best mask. You're on the right track trying different types, and different sizes, ...

Re: Resmed N30i Leaks

I'm using the small frame, but I have a small face. I'll make things a bit tighter, if my nose can handle it. Does the P30i have a better seal in general than the N30i? I found the P30i much more stable than the N30i -- the pillows tended to "move with me" more, avoiding the leaks I had with the N3...

Re: CPAP Supplier

I am again seeking a CPAP supplier for my supplies. I have two requirements: 1) They accept my insurance, MediCare and TriCare for Life. 2) I can talk to a human. They can be located anywhere as delivery will be by mail. All I need is the name of the company and a phone number. Patrick Harman 360-6...
