Re: 1st week using my BIpap its a disaster (Newbie)

Trust me I am trying to sleep, off the machine I feel fine but with it is when I am using it I feel sick. It may be all the direct air I am getting and I just have to get use to it. I am not giving up some how with learning and adjusting I will overcome any and all problems I am having.

Re: 1st week using my BIpap its a disaster (Newbie)

I want to thank everyone for their advice and knowledge. You all have been a great help to me and I am learning more and more everyday. I had no idea how much I needed to know. When they tested me and gave my equipment I thought that was it I just go home and put it on at night and get a good night ...

Re: 1st week using my BIpap its a disaster (Newbie)

The card in the machine is the size of a credit card. I will call the hospital and find out if this is the one I should have or not. Whats so upsetting about all this is they do not tell you much of nothing, it's up to you to find out and research whats going on with yourself and your equipment. I w...

Re: 1st week using my BIpap its a disaster (Newbie)

I was told I had to wear a full face mask because my mouth is always open while I sleep. I have a second mask the Quattro FX for Her Full Face CPAP Mask I will try to use tonight. I had this one on at the hospital also. Hopefully I can get it to fit correctly.

Re: 1st week using my BIpap its a disaster (Newbie)

Yes I was titrated on the machine and it took a pressure of 20 to stop the apneas. I am using a REMstar Pro M series 400m. All my equipment was given to me from the hospital. I start with a pressure of 10 and it goes up to 20 within 20 minutes. I do not have a manual for my machine so the only thing...

Re: Why is it necessary to have a support team?

Thank you Carolyn, I am new to all this and I really have felt that I'm all alone in it. I got a sleep study done then the second one done a few days later and now I'm on a machine to help me breathe when I sleep. All of this in less than a week. No class or training to truly understand the equipmen...

Re: Sleep Study Scoring (Newbie)

Hi Bodyroc, You have found a good place in this forum. There is a ton of information here. Also the more experienced people on here are very helpful and very understanding. With your score of 80, my thinking is that your should have had a split study. I scored a 93 and after sleeping for 3 hours I ...

Sleep Study Scoring (Newbie)

I had my 1st sleep study on October 30th. My Dr. had the nurse call me early this morning November 6th and told me I need to be back at the sleep center tonight. My appoint for my second sleep study is not until November 23rd. I was told I scored 80 and that 50 is considered severe. She then told me...
