Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

No connection to my or my doctor's knowledge. it could be the actual drug that causes the adverse reactions or the ingredient's or the combination included in the delivery process. Drug companies use a wide variety of chemicals in the injection fluids and pills. Some of which are a closely guarded c...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

With every risk, there's a choice. I'm happy for those who have gotten the shot. Personally, I have multiple severe food and drug allergies. One very smalll part of the range of allergies is Shell fish, can't get the flu, pneumonia or shingles shot. At this point, I'm choosing NO to the Covid vaccin...

Re: Fitbit - Resting Heart Rate??

I've got a mild case of Bradycardia. No treatment needed yet.

I'm happy when the resting rate is above 45. 😊👍

Re: time for a new machine?

HI Pugst, No weight gain, still rocking the loss of 80lbs that allowed me to go from the 21 over 15 to the setting of 14 over 10 :D Still doing my 5 1/2 mile hike every morning FWIW - Tried going to lower pressure settings and while the AHI was good, I was tired during the day. So lower pressures wa...

Re: time for a new machine?

Trust me, lower pressure is not needed. :D Tried is lower than the 14 over 10 and the results weren't good. 14 over 10 had been the right setting for quite a while with some minor tweaks every so often just to see what would happen. As I posted, what has me confused is the fact that it was like some...

time for a new machine?

Just before Memorial Day, my AHI went from it's consistent under 1.0 for several years to well over 4 & have stayed up there. It's like someone flipped a switch FYI - Bi-pap settings prior to the sudden change in AHI were 14 over 10 & had been there for well over 6 months. Aside from the increase in...

healthier switch from Bi-Pap to straight CPAP?

As result of exercising and diet, I've lost 80+ lbs, YAY!! :D :) During this process, I've been able to slowly adjust my bi-pap pressure downward as I got healthier & my AHI is ALWAYS under 1.0 & I feel great & sleep is awesome. The bi-pap settings have gone from the original prescribed setting of 2...

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP

I just decided that washing the hose cover along with the bed linens each week made sense to minimize hand oils or dirt on it. It could easily be washed less frequently.

For whatever reason, I've never experienced the slime on the bottom of my humidity tank. 🤔

Re: How often will I need to replace parts for mask & CPAP

I've been at this for over 7 years now with the exact same machine. After a while, you get into a maintenance routine that works for you & you feel comfortable with. Over that time, It's been 100% use of Distilled water, I rarely empty out my humidity tank. The tank does get disassembled and washed ...

Re: Lost 50 lbs and now CPAP killing me

your BP may be fine but what is your PULSE Rate?? Low Pulse rate can exhibit the symptoms that you have described & can be caused by sleep apnea For some people, bradycardia is only present during sleep apnea episodes. In fact, apnea is the most common cause of bradycardia. A study at the Herakloin ...

Re: Pugsy's Pointers...SleepyHead Tutorial and TX Hints

Sort of a dumb question... I've been using Sleepyhead for 6 + years now checking data from my Resmed S9 Auto. I'm currently running the 0.98 version & see that there are newer versions available. I can't seem to find a "changelog" to see what improvements were made and if I need to upgrade. Please d...

Re: Overcoming apnea with weight loss

Weight loss for me hasn't had any effect on my apnea At the end of July last year, I started the "Get up off your butt and exercise" program. There's also been adjustments to my eating habits... Exercise routine started at walking 1.5 miles a day, 5 days a week... Gradually increased the distance ov...

Re: Airfit F20 vs original Quattro sizing

Thanks for all the tips According to Resmed, the S, M & L cushions will work on the frames, but what I can't find are dimensions for the frame. There's nothing on the Resmed site regarding dimensions and CPAP.com help simply referred me back to the sizing chart. Which have never been accurate for me...
