DeVilbiss Intellipap2
Has anyone tried this machine yet? The display looks great, big and easy to read with a clock and a wake up alarm. The pulse humidification thing seems interesting too. I cannot find much about the data capabilities, however. It uses the smartcode system but also has Bluetooth and a sim chip include...

Re: My new Respironics Dreamstation
The top of the water tank is wide open. I'll take pics tomorrow. The display turns off automatically after a few seconds. Completely dark. It has a light sensor that also automatically dims the display in low light situations. I'm not familiar with filters. I just know mine is small. Hi there -- ca...

Re: Non-Vented Masks
Currently on a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset. I have reduced my max pressure from 12 to 9 which did reduce some of the CAs but not a lot. I usually set the expiratory relief at 1 or 2. I am clearly a hyperventilator as perhaps all people with apnea (central and obstructive) are. Normal respiration sho...

Re: Best Cheap CPAP Machine?
These all seem to be about buying used machines -- that is one route, but if a manufacturer's warranty is important you may need to get something new or possibly refurbished from a place like Second Wind cpap. A good new machine is the DeVilbiss auto line. Well made in the USA, costs under $500 and ...

Hospital CPAP Use -- Not So Simple
Dad was just hospitalized with a heart attack. They did a stenting procedure and he is now resting. I went back to get his CPAP and bring it to the hospital for him to use. The respiratory therapist explained however that they would not use it -- that the risk of vomiting, from aerophagia (in a nuts...

Re: New Philips Respironics' Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask
This looks like a GREAT new mask -- innovative design and unobtrusive. My only concern is pressure on the bottom of my nose (which sometime hurts me with nasal masks or nasal pillows pushing up on the underside of my nose). Video of it looks very interesting>>>>>>>>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: DeVilbiss Intellipap Autoset X F&P Icon+ Auto
It depends -- who is paying for it? If you, you can get the Intellipap for a good price, but while it can show data, it is not easy to get at (it uses codes that you enter onto a website to decipher, or you need an add on data module). The Icon Auto can show data but need their software to do it. Mo...

Re: Are you having wildly vivd dreams using CPAP?
Yes, unfortunately -- and sometimes they can get pretty bad. Whether it is the apnea or the CPAP or the medications I take, sometimes they can be debilitating. Wake up very early, at about 4 or 5 a.m. sweating, heart pounding, and RR high. Not a good situation. I would discuss it with your doctor. F...

Re: best auto cpap currently on the market
The answer is the Airsense 10. Newest mainstream model with slightly improved features, smaller, and wireless data eliminating mailing in sim chips. Plus extremely quiet and has an integrated humidifier. Respironics is long due for an update on the 60 series so that may (hopefully) be coming soon. F...

Re: NG Tube Can't Use CPAP in Hospital
Don't worry -- believe it or not, hospitals and doctors usually do know what they are doing. They will likely fit you with something like this ==== http://rudolphkc.com/product_detail.php?id=12 One way or another they will set you up with a solution, cpap or otherwise, to prevent you from having apn...

Re: Used mask about 3 nights- hate it
What do I do with a mask I used about 3 nights, and know I'm never going to like it? Is there some organization to donate it to? (Resmed Airfit P10) The places I've located online will not take used masks. It has all 4 pillows sizes too. It's considered medical waste and no one will take it because...

Re: Machine w/o variable speed blower?
Don't worry about this -- your ancient machine compared to the new models is like comparing night and day. The new Air 10 series is virtually silent and that one I have heard with a bilevel version, actually. The vast majority of the noise comes from the mask vent itself. If you want to stop that th...

I My accessories provider says I should have a new cushion(the part of the mask that actually touches the face)every month, thoughts? It's been almost 5 years since I started using a machine (I use a full face mask) and to this day I have believed this to be the norm, that the cushion/liner has to b...

Re: Micro Disposable CPAP
I agree that anyone making 'disposable' anything these days, let alone out of plastic, should have their products automatically rejected and then be fined to make sure they get the point. You mean like the cpap masks and cushions we all use? Sounds good to me! If the consumer electronics industry m...
