Re: ClimateLine heated hose issues with AirCurve 10 Vauto

Which mask are you using? What is the ambient temperature in your bedroom with the window open? Approx? What is your humidity setting? Take the hose off the machine and drain it thoroughly. Put it aside for now. It needs to air dry thoroughly and that's hard to accomplish unless you blow some air t...

ClimateLine heated hose issues with AirCurve 10 Vauto

I've been having issues with rainout while using my new month old AirCurve and the heated ClimateLine hose. Either something is wrong with my machine or the hose. When I first started using my new machine I had both the hose and the humidifier set to Auto but the hose didn't seem like it was warming...

Re: mouth guards

Couple of thoughts/suggestions to try: IIRC, the correct mouth position is lips together, teeth apart. Also, from my experience, a dental appliance doesn't stop grinding, just inserts a layer between the teeth to protect the surfaces from the grinding. The cheap off-the-shelf appliances might work ...

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?

I have been using a Resmed Airsense 10 with the Dreamwear Nasal CPAP mask and headgear, without nasal pillows. It works well and all has been going fine except I have been waking up at least once a month with very painful canker sores on my left side of the tongue or just a sore left side of the to...

Re: mouth guards

I have bruxism and I use a nighttime occlusal device, a dental guard. It was custom made by my dentist. I'm still cracking my teeth though! In fact I have a temp crown (waiting on the permanent crown to be delivered) in my mouth because of my tooth grinding. I also have 4 implants because of cracked...

Re: Where to buy a Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto? (UK based)

Hi I’m looking into buying a Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto but cannot see them available in the UK. The other option seems to be importing from the US. Thecpapshop.com sell it for $1250 but it’s not in stock. Does anybody know any shops selling it (that ship internationally) that have it in stock? Is $1...

Re: Looking for an inexpensive CPAP for a non-standard use...

I have a friend who makes a lot of fishing weights, which consists of melting lead and pouring it into molds. The fumes are pretty terrible, and I wasn't convinced his mask was doing him much good, so I figured out a system with my CPAP machine: I ordered a really long hose, a new mask, and put my ...

Re: Where to buy a Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto? (UK based)

The wonderful sponsor of this forum seems to have stock on these machines. The order page says, "Order ships today if placed by 4PM CST". To me that would indicate that they have stock. ResMed won't let cpap.com ship any product to any address outside the USA....not even a ResMed branded filter or ...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers

Here is a question. I have a PR System One. Does anyone know what they are doing for these? I know the DS1 is being replaced by the DS2. Does anyone have a PR System One and have they done anything for you and/or contacted you (or really ANYTHING)? I saw Nicko on Youtube literally had to pull his a...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers

Yes as Nick said: Some of you have started receiving your replacement DreamStation 2 machines for the recall. When it arrives, Philips is requesting that you send back your DreamStation 1 machines. I strongly recommend you do not send back the DreamStation 1. If your health has been impacted in any...

My son, who is brand new to the world of CPAP, just received his AirSense 11 last week. His timing was perfect it seems.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

So here we are on September 13th and I just found out about the recall less than five days ago. I know I am late to this party and no doubt hundreds if not thousands of posts have been gone through. I probably sound like a broken record to many but the only thing a Phillips representative told me w...
