Re: Pressure adjustment recommendation

Veteran here but a bit rusty on pressure adjustments: I'm trying to help a not-so-tech-savvy friend using a Dreamstation APAP. not an expert by any means. but it looks like, according to the graph you posted, that your friend may benefit from raising that min pressure to 7. good luck! What I’m thin...

Pressure adjustment recommendation

Veteran here but a bit rusty on pressure adjustments: I'm trying to help a not-so-tech-savvy friend using a Dreamstation APAP. She definitely needs to adjust her pressure(s), and my initial impression is that the Min pressure should be higher than 4. It looks like the pressure doesn't often reach th...

I like the Emay80 product, it produces a second-by-second HR and O2 to my phone that is plotted and the raw data is able to be exported - and it only cost about 40 dollars.

However, it is a finger mounted probe, rather than a watch or ring.
Thanks, I'll check it out

Best device for continuous O2 and BPM monitoring

Decade-long papper here, I've just been diagnosed with a heart condition that has prompted me to start looking into devices that can be used during sleep and during exercise for continuous O2 and HR monitoring. I bought the Apple Watch 8 but can now see that blood oxygen and HR are measured at inter...

Re: Unexpected side effect

Hi Froggie -- Xanax can be so helpful, but it's harder for folks to get their docs to prescribe it especially for longer term use. So many restrictions now on their ability to prescribe benzos (as our doc said once, "I want to keep my license."). I hope that won't be the case for you. There does co...

Re: OT: Freaky Froggy--cancer, part 2

We hear you, Froggie. We are only three months out from hubby's last chemo infusion. You are going into this with the best attitude, we know you'll do well. One thing that helped hubs: oncologist put in a standing order at the infusion center for hydration or anti-nausea infusions when needed. So al...

Re: Freaky Froggy--cancer, part 2

Dear Froggie, I've been underwater all year with DH's cancer treatments and complications, so I don't get to stop by here often. I'm glad I did today so I can wish you a smooth journey with treatment and a full, speedy recovery (insert heart emoji here).

Warmly, kaiasgram

Re: Aloha mask discontinued. Mask recommendation??

I have used the Aloha pillow mask for the last few years. Loved it. But my in-network cpap supplier has informed me the Aloha mask is discontinued and they can no longer get it. They sent me the Swift FX to try. I did not like it. What is your personal preference, especially if your familiar with t...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

Infectious disease experts from Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School, the World Health Organization, and several local physicians we've spoken with all say that *not* experiencing side effects from the vaccine does *not* mean you are less protected than those who did have significant side effects....

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

I just read something interesting, sorry if this has been brought up already: According to Mayo Clinic and other sources, the covid vaccine can cause swollen lymph nodes under the arm, which can show up on mammograms and cause undue concern. I've seen several recommendations, one source said get the...

2nd Moderna shot two days ago. Just a sore arm, manageable — whew!
