Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I filled out the recall online a month or so ago, whenever it was that it was finally up. Today, my husband and I both received brand new DS2 machines with humidifiers. Our DS1 were still being paid on by insurance and our DME didn't want anything to do with the recall. The new machines included lab...

Two Petite and Two Medium Nasal Pillows for Go Life for Women to trade for Small. One of each has been opened to be sized, but never used. One of each is still in the bag unopened.

Re: My strange story
I want=demand the Doctor do there job or refund my money . These jokers have made big bad mistakes on this one.. It sounds to me that they are doing their job by requesting the second study. It's you that are not taking responsibility for your own health and well being. Wearing a cpap is not the en...

Re: Follow-Up Appt, Rainout, Headaches and Cold Questions
Thank you for all the replies! I will certainly be asking my rheum next week to refer me to a neuro doc about the headaches. Even if it is just sensory overload, it would be good to have something on hand to help when the headaches come. I've had them before the cpap so even if I do adjust, it's saf...

Follow-Up Appt, Rainout, Headaches and Cold Questions
Tomorrow is my first follow up with the pulmonary clinic that set me up with my cpap and later prescribed my machine. I know they want to download my data. Should I take just the SD card or the whole machine? If I take the whole machine, do I take my mask too? As it's been getting warmer here our A/...

Re: My Doctor is the Problem, Not My DME re:Mask Return
The respiratory therapist from my doctor's office called today. She apologized for not returning my call last week. I told her about my mask issues and that the machine I was given is a brick. She was completely appalled. She's going to make the doctor rewrite the script and submit a new order to my...

Re: Unusual Question
I wouldn't leave it in the trunk all the time. There's a lot of wires and plastic in there that are not built for those kind of temps. As important (and expensive) as these machine are, I just wouldn't risk something getting damaged.

Re: The "production" of getting ready for bed
I never washed my face before bed. I don't wear makeup, so I would just wash my face in the shower each morning and that was it. But now I go into the bathroom, wash my face, brush my teeth, brush my hair and put it in a pony tail, put my humidifier tank back together, fill with water, do my reading...

Re: Need Suggestions on Head Gear Fit/Sizing?
Is your hair long enough for a ponytail? Keeping mine in a ponytail and pulled through the headgear helps to keep it from riding up.
Good luck!

Re: new, introducing myself, so far so good
-My machine has a feature that when I first put the mask on and get it tight, it just comes on automatically, slightly annoying b/c I like to get a good deep breaths in before I turn it on. -THIS HAS BEEN ODD- Have woke up in the middle of night or early morning thinking the machine was off, there ...

Re: My Doctor is the Problem, Not My DME re:Mask Return
 Idiots...what is so hard about writing "mask of patient's choice on a RX pad"? I have a used Swift FX nasal pillow for her mask that I would be happy to send to you. Nasal pillows will be new though. I only have XSmall and Small though. Silicone part of the headgear and short hose assembly a...

Re: My Doctor is the Problem, Not My DME re:Mask Return
I assume though that I can't order a Swift FX if my doctor wrote ComfortGel Blue on my prescription though right??? Are you saying it doesn't matter what the prescription says? If so, at least my local provider seems to be ok, it was AllMed (insurance) that gave me the problem and requested a more o...

Re: No apnea, just hypopneas on study
I can attest that hypopnea alone can make you feel awful. The morning after my first study, the doctor told me I was fine other than waking and taking a long time to fall asleep. He said I had only 1.5 apneas per hour and that my sleep troubles were just because of the fibromyalgia. After reviewing ...
