I'm also noticing a desire to 'burp' up air.
Follow the thread linked here for ideas on swallowing air.

Re: New CPAP user, a few questions

By all means request a humidifier. Also insist on an *Auto* cpap it will give you more pressure options. Oh and check the most popular cpaps and masks at cpap.com

Re: Moisture in mask

Is it possible to purchase a heated hose (that doesn't heat via my "old" CPAP unit)? I doubt that a heated hose will help you with this problem. What it will do is help the air in the hose hold more water. When this moist air contacts a cool/cold hose or mask it will condense. Give a hose cozy a tr...

Then if I had to come back to swap it out and pay again, he could just say tough luck. I was just looking to see if this is some kind of crazy situation maybe the DME guy fed me a line about being out the money if I have to swap. Unfortunately you won't know the answer to any of that unless and unt...

I fully trust he has me best interest in mind, Get that thought out of your head. DME's are in business to make money, period. btw who is this DME? and who is your insurance? I would call your insurance directly and ask them for a list of other DME's you can use should the need arise. Also explain ...

Just do not try to heat the water with this method in the CPAP tub. The Microwave will not like the metal heating plate on the tubs bottom.
It didn't seem to bother my tub. ymmv

Re: Serious issues after 25 years of CPAP

I am obligate mouth-breather due to very small nostrils and deviated septum. When my mouth opens to breathe, the lower part of mask goes into mouth if worn at intended place below lip. So I have always worn F10 FF mask just under chin edge. The mask is slightly lower on nose but usually seals well ...

Does the Dreamstation 2 have a preheat function for the humidifier so you can warm the water before starting the machine?
When I first started I would heat the water in my microwave. As time went on I didn't feel the need to.

Welp, no suggestions coming in. Land fill it is I guess with no local access to recycling, donation, etc.
Could it depend on the make & model of the cpap? Which do you have there?

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - AC/DC adapter?

Is the battery fully charged? How old is it? Best guess is that (under load) it is dropping below 11.4V -- at which point the AirMini DC/DC converter will simply shut down. After the battery rests a while, it might be able to muster >11.4V again for a short time. Best way to "prove" that is (or isn...

I have been using Cpap for 5years and recently have been having a very annoying squeaky sound coming from the back of my throat on exhale waking me up as I am almost asleep.
Are you sure its not coming from the mask exhaust or from the cpap?

Re: Do you use ramp?

Ramp and heat are both like training wheels. I used them both early on.

It is worth pointing out that on the older cpaps no events were scored during the ramp period.
