been cleaning the mask, tubing & humidifier tub once per week
Overkill. I use tubing for years without cleaning. It doesn't get dirty. I wipe the mask each morning with an alcohol swab. (I don't use the humidifier.)

Re: Elderly Father COPD and CPAP

Does anyone else have elderly "non-compliant" parents when it comes to CPAP?
Young people of otherwise clear minds also refuse to use CPAP. It's very common.

Don't let it be too hard on your mother or you.

Re: What brand of airline approved battery do you use for Dreamstation?

Version 1 had a barrel ended cord for Dreamstation that had to be ordered separately. it's no longer available. Version 2 now uses a cord that uses USB C to connect to the battery. Have you searched in the after market for a cord adapter? https://www.google.com/search?q=battery+adapter+for+dreamsta...

It’s a shame there can be such a stigma attached to using the machine.
No stigma for me. I just tell them, "You look like you could benefit from using CPAP."

Re: Weight loss drug trial claiming to reduce Sleep Apnea. Hmmm?

From the subject article: In both trials, people on Zepbound lost, on average, around 20% of their body weight, which Lilly suspects contributed to the reduction in sleep apnea events. Most likely, the immediate cause was the weight loss. In people who did use PAP machines, Zepbound led to an averag...

That's the way the human race started. Starting in Genesis 2:18, God uses trial and error to find a suitable helper for Adam. :D

That's about all you can do. Trial and error.

There are 29 reviews here, but IMO, most of the reviews are useless. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/snugz-cpap-mask-liners

Re: New spray offers hope for people with common sleep condition

So you're saying they ran it several times and swapped around the taped and untaped folks? 1. They ran all ten subjects through with a placebo. 2. Later, they ran all ten subjects with the spray and untaped. 3. Later, they ran all ten subjects with the spray and taped. My conclusion: It was a very ...

Two groups, one mouth-taped, one not. There's only one group that was studied three times. How do you interpret the following sentence? There was no systematic change in apnea-hypopnea index (AHI3) from placebo versus BAY2586116 with either unrestricted or nasal-only breathing versus placebo (47 ± ...
