My narrow face shape may be the explanation.
Many people with narrow faces successfully use CPAP.

I have tried every imaginable cpap mask. All leaked,
Did you ever find your favorite (or least disliked) mask on youtube and carefully watch three or four videos on fitting and adjusting?

as I’ve seen no mention of sleeping with head back That's because the standard practice is to wear a foam cervical collar to keep the spine in the optimal position for airway patency. Many CPAP users wear collars and achieve higher effectiveness with lower pressures. The collars are fitted so that ...

Turn your lips in slightly and then apply the tape.

These are the instructions on the Somnifix mouth tape strips. It also helps with other types of tape.

I guess I'm not sure what to do thereafter with settings If it were me, I would set it on auto min pressure 7, max pressure 10. Check the Daily Details the next day in OSCAR. Post a screenshot and members will help you with interpretation and settings optimization. (Youtube videos explain how to ge...

Re: Need some member input

Maybe the problem is not new members selling something. Maybe the problem is new members buying something - they think cpaptalk's hosting of an ad is an endorsement.

If that is the case, it would call for Pugsy's caveat emptor warning on each ad.

Re: I have a bad sinus infection and using my CPAP HURTS!

How will nasal sprays help me sleep with my CPAP? They reduce inflammation and congestion in the nasal passages. These are corticosteroid sprays - https://www.webmd.com/allergies/steroid_nasal_sprays Sprays based on oxymetazoline (Afrin types) may cause insomnia in some people. Mayo Clinic has a go...

Re: Need some member input

In my recollection, there haven't been many new members who have successfully sold a CPAP machine. I'm thinking of users who stop their own therapy or are selling a CPAP that belonged to a deceased relative. The point is that stopping these types of sales would inconvenience very few people. Also, t...

what can I do?
Are you doing saline nasal rinses twice per day? https://www.amazon.com/NeilMed-NasaFlo- ... ef=sr_1_23

You could use Nasalcort or a similar spray after the nasal rinses.

At this point I’m just wondering how to monitor things (other than O2Ring) without a mask attached to my face.
You might want to keep a diary.

Daytime:
-energy level
-sleepiness

Night:
- awakenings
- nocturia

Always comparing to how you did when using CPAP plus Alaxo.

It's said they make great refrigerator magnets. Or glue one on your bike helmet, and you can quickly attach/remove your helmet light.

Do these things allow one to hook up a generator and then use the outlets inside to power items (coffee maker, flat screens, etc...)??
Yes. Even an oven and water heater for the shower.

The less-developed campgrounds may not have power.
