Re: holes in my wisp white tubing

Looks to me to be a bad tube design and materials. I'd change manufacturer.

Re: Flecks in Humidifer Tank

Hi All, What have I been up too? Well, I got me 3 stents to the circumflex artery of the heart about a year and a half ago. Sleep Apnea related? The cardiologist thinks its possible. They put me on cardiac drugs then my Lisinopril decided to try to kill me with angio adema. 2 trips to the ER, one b...

Re: Flecks in Humidifer Tank

I think I have a brand new still sealed in the package S9 water chamber. I would be happy to send it to you and you can see if the flecks still appear in a new chamber. If they do then you know the problem isn't in the chamber but coming from someplace else. I am pretty sure I have more than one an...

Thanks. You still working with various devices and technology? I haven't much lately myself at least regarding sleep.

The foam pads could be a place that could harbour something.
If you are a little mechanical you can do it yourself ... there is a thread that will help you.
Thanks, GrayGhost. I may do that.

Re: Flecks in Humidifer Tank

There is nothing inside that would come apart and cause that .... silicone gasket ... black foam rubber .... all the rest is hard plastic. Might it be something in the distilled water ? Hi GrayGhost! I looked at tonight's and they are actually little globs, not hard after all. Soooo... since I sani...

Re: Flecks in Humidifer Tank

Hi All, Long time no post. I noticed light colored flecks with edges and pointy corners in my humidifier tank (Resmed S9 purchased Nov 2011) so I of course cleaned it, by hand, dismantling the tank as it is a pops-open dishwasher safe tank, disinfected it, buffed 'er to a shine inside, filled it wi...

How old is the tank?
Hi ChunkyFrog!!

The tank is pretty new, less than a year. I got it here from cpap.com and it's an original new Resmed tank.

Thanks!

Re: Treatment Variability with Full Face Cushion for Quattro™ FX

Hi Jay! Yes, I have not been on here in a couple years. Last year was a tough one. I was doing business in oil and gas and that took a poop, but now is back on a strong roll. My mom got pancreatic cancer and I spent 5 months at her hospice bedside in the front room of her home in Oregon, caring for ...

If I get another bad one I probably will. No need in tossing $54 in the trash. Do you like your Airfit? Did you use the Quattro Fx before?

Treatment Variability with Full Face Cushion for Quattro™ FX

I notice that when I change "cushions" or "seals" for my Quattro™ FX full face mask my events take big steps up or down for the duration of using that seal (as observed in Sleepyhead). I presume this is variations in the quality of the seal. Do others see this variability? Is there much point in ask...

Re: device for awakening arousals

I believe technically an "arousal" is anything that causes you to move upward in sleep stages and few if any necessitate an awakening. My wife has alpha wave intrusions that cause about 250 arousals/hr (yes, sadly you read that right). The only way to measure them is with brain wave analysis by an e...
