Motor hours reset?

I've been doing a bit of searching and this thread is the closest I could find for my interest. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t179707/Airsense-Autoset-10-new-blower.html I did have a read of the "Resmed sucks" diatribe, but that thread has been locked. I've got an S9 VPAP-S, it's displaying the ...

Re: Rainout and CPAP Machine On The Floor

I've been CPAPing for 16 months, my machine has been on the floor all that time, rainout hasn't been an issue, nor has dust, I do have a heated hose though.

Re: Request for Resmed SD Card feature

I work with dataloggers, a standard option is to have the memory wrap around if the data buffer is full, simply overwriting the oldest data. Having to download weekly so I don't lose data is a pain.

Machine location?

I grabbed this from another thread. They will tell you to pull the straps tight to stop the mask leaking, and to make sure you don't put the machine on the floor, but have it lower than your head. I've had my machine on the floor since I got it about 6 months ago, so was surprised to read that I'm n...

Re: Ferritin Levels and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)

Last time my wife had her serum ferritin level checked it was 42, she can't take Iron supplements as it makes her feel ill. She was taking 250mg of sifrol (Pramipexole) at night, which greatly reduced symptoms, but caused some negative obsessive behaviour. Reducing the sifrol to 125mg minimised the ...

Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?

My partner and I have had sex while wearing our masks (just him wearing it, just me wearing it, both of us wearing them...) I'd love to see the compliance data for that session. I think most partners would be happy to have you wearing your mask after sex. If I go to sleep without putting it on, I u...

Re: Camping with Resmed S9

I recently spent a couple of days in the south west of Tasmania for work, I ran my S9 with humidifier from a 38Ah battery using a 300w inverter. The first night the battery voltage had dropped enough for the low voltage alarm on the inverter to sound, I didn't hear it, but one of the other blokes in...

Re: ResMed share price for those interested

Good for them! They have a great product line and their retail prices a competitive to others. Hopefully the profit will encourage them develop newer, more comfortable products. The machine I bought was made in Sydney, it was exported to the US, posted back to Australia and including postage I paid...

Re: Zeo Price Doubled

I just googled "ZEO" to find out what it was, then checked on Ebay. $95 Australian, but then $63 postage from the US. The cost of freight out of the US is astounding.

Re:

Well I just have to be different - I use tap water and have done since I started 5 years or so ago. I live in New Zealand and the tap water where I am is extremely soft, no mineral deposits ever develop so the water tank remains in good condition. Same in Tasmania, we've got some of the cleanest wa...

Re: Where was your S9 born?

Nice. And then they have the nerve to charge Australians 3 times the price to purchase one of their machines locally compared to the US. Disgraceful company. Yep, mine was exported to the US from Sydney, imported back to Melbourne, then posted to me in Hobart, all for half the cost of what I would ...

Re: Would you be happy with a compliance only machine?

No, definitely no. I recently had to renew my licence, I had to answer a series of questions, mostly on health issues, one of them was "Have you ever been diagnosed with sleep apnea?" I ticked yes. A week later I received paperwork in the post that I had to have my Dr fill out, to say that I was rec...

Re: Need advice for traveling to Mexico and Bali

Bali is different, 220V and the outlets are the two little round hole type like in Europe. You will need a converter to reduce voltage and also a plug adapter to use your machine with the Bali outlets. My S9 is a US model, the supplied power unit has a broad input range (100-240V, 50-60Hz) and runs...

My wife has occasional migraines, has done for years. She was recently prescribed Relpax which she said is quite effective. Not sure of the active ingredients.
