Re: Help Using CPAP On Flight

The wattage rating of the brick is the maximum. It will only draw the wattage it needs to provide the needed output plus some loss. The biggest draw is generally the humidifier, which was why I suggested turning it off. If your pressure goes very high, you might consider getting a meter to check it ...

Re: resmed 9 air blowing smells like cedar

I've noticed the air smells like whatever the machine is sitting on or has picked up in the past. Cleaners, polish, campground smoke, etc. If the source is no longer present, changing the filter does the job.

You may need to turn the humidifier off if over the wattage limit.

Re: z2 Travel CPAP pressure question

I've experienced both issues with my Z1, although not at the same time. I needed to increase the minimum pressure over my System One (at the time) to get enough air volume. I also found I get too high exhalation pressure when the hose adapter backs out slightly. Make sure it is fully inserted.

Re: Airplane battery: Freedom V2 vs Medistrom opinions?

My V2s lasted a bit longer than the year long warranty period. No help from support. Recycled.

Re: How I prevent the back strap from slip for my mask

I experimented with a DreamWear some time back. It never seemed to fit right even after changing pillow and frame sizes, so I went back to my Swift. I cleaned the Swift yesterday and thought of this thread. I put it back together with the DreamWear arms and strap. It snapped right in like it was mad...

OP on the linked thread promised to report back and never did. I assume the experiment left him unable to report.

Re: Resmed P10 Nasal pillows cracking/splitting on bottom rim

Had to Google that one. I understand the stuff is good for removing silicone oil, so I would question its suitability for this task. Seems like it might suck the very oil out of the pillows that keep them soft. https://technotes.alconox.com/industry/ ... cone-oils/

Also known as a suicide cord for good reason, and no mention of a transfer switch. Do it right or don't do it.

Re: ResMed AirSense10 and generator

#1 Don't be responsible for starting a fire yourself during a red flag event. Shut the generator off and let it cool before refueling, keep it well maintained, and run it far away from flammables. #2 Fuel may be hard to come by. The same power outage will likely turn off the fuel pumps. The stations...

Warm but not hot sounds about right. The only time any of my CPAP humidifiers got hot was when I allowed them to run dry.

Battery failure one week, ice storm bringing power failure the next. Three nights without CPAP, and I'm surprised at how well I can sleep. Spouse is out of town, so no feedback on snoring. I might remain battery-less.

Re: AirMini USB-C Power, Hose Adapter for Dreamstation GO hose.

JerryChicago,

With the recalls and law suits flying over what might land in your lungs during CPAP use, how does the glue and heat shrink you used stack up? I doubt the manufacturers of these products ever tested them for this use.
