Re: Hi, New Here!

Hey, Panda! I am also revisiting this board and just started back up with the ResMed AirSense 10 APAP. This is my first full week....I like the myAir app but it is really generic compared to the SleepyHead software. I installed the SleepyHead software but only had 2 nights of data to work with last ...

Re: storage of my AirSense 10

Thanks! I looked into those night stands....but I'm not sure I can part with the length of my current one (it's like a console table).

Re: Pugsy's Pointers...SleepyHead Tutorial and TX Hints

I need to give a shout-out to Pugsy and everyone on this forum!! I have been a member for 5 yrs and fell off the wagon. Now that I have a team of great doctors and a shiny new machine, I'm trying to re-learn a lot of things about my OSA. This is a great place with great people and discussions. I can...

storage of my AirSense 10

Just got my APAP machine last Friday and pleasantly surprised at how much smaller it is compared to my S9. But it's a little oddly shaped so it still takes up a weird amount of spacw on my nightstand. I decided to put my APAP on the shelf of my nightstand....but was concerned about it gathering dust...

Re: Sleep Deprived and Going a Little Cuckoo

Ahh the Elite - a fixed pressure machine. I'm not surprised that this has happened to you because if the fixed pressure setting is not working for you then it's next to useless. The big plus is that you can tolerate CPAP therapy so that's the biggest hurdle overcome. Is there any way you can get ho...

Re: Sleep Deprived and Going a Little Cuckoo

Exactly which S9 model are you using? Have you used available software (ResScan or SleepyHead) to see exactly what might be going on? Do you know about the software? https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment AHI of less than 5.0 is normally considered an acceptable level of treatment...not 10...at least her...

Sleep Deprived and Going a Little Cuckoo

I started my CPAP journey in April 2011 with an official diagnosis of OSA (my AHI was 37 in the lab). I used my Resmed S9 CPAP nightly after battling DME companies to finally get my stuff. I loved using my CPAP. I felt better in the morning, I didn't drag myself around for the first 4 hrs of being a...

Re: ...but I don't wanna change masks...

I downloaded my stuff in Rescan before I gave the SD card to the DME. I'm slightly applications-challenged with the Rescan but as soon as I get a little more time I will put up some of my data on here. I'd be nice to have an explanation from my own peeps, anyway.

...but I don't wanna change masks...

I went to my 2 month follow up appt today. The doc was concerned that I'm still a little foggy in the morning, and drowsy on my drive to work. (I've been taking 150mg of Nuvigil every morning along with my usual dose of Welbutrin XL which I've taken for a few years now). We talked about increasing m...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

I have been using my CPAP for 8 weeks now. The first few weeks I was averaging 4-5 hours with it (I'd somehow just rip the mask off after 2-3 hours). Now I am wearing the mask and using CPAP the entire night (though I'm working on increasing my sleep time to 6.5 or 7 hours...) and have only missed m...

Re: Side sleeping and stiff neck in the AM

Thanks for all the feedback! It has been a while since I've been on the forum...I've narrowed down a few favorite pillow combinations, and still use the Sqush Tube pillow when I start sleeping on my side. I've experimented with wearing the Resmed cheek pads vs. not wearing them to see if I get more ...

Re: sleeping on the right pillow

I just posted a similar issue! I bought a squishy roll pillow by Homedics this afternoon and hoping that it will position my head a little better and I will sleep better. I normally like a firm pillow on the bottom with a more loosely filled and softer pillow on top of that. It has been tricky to ge...

Side sleeping and stiff neck in the AM

I have many pillows with differing degrees of firmness. The first week I wasn't able to keep the mask on for more than a few hours, so I wasn't too uncomfortable in the morning. The second week I managed to actually use my CPAP for more than just decorative piece of equipment on my nightstand. I wea...

Re: Feature differences in S9 models?

This is my first adventure with CPAP, and I'm three weeks into my S9 Elite. I'm sensitive to noise since I've been a very light-sleeper (I found out it's because I didn't sleep well due to my OSA...now I sleep like a brick!). The overall operation of the S9 is very quiet. The noise I hear is with th...

Re: Does anybody send their SD card to DME?

Thanks for the responses so far. Yeah, the DMEs that I have dealt with are not keen on patients having access to their data, so with this DME, I didn't even bring up the issue. But she was very clear on having to send the SD card to DME so that they could get the data to the doctor. It's like there'...
