Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have a System One 60 and they said it cannot be replaced or refurbished so offered me $50 for it. Philips was not going to repair and refurbish older systems one devices as they are over 5 years old and past their normal lifespan. The option to accept $50 for the system one 560 or $25 for the 550...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have a System One 60 and they said it cannot be replaced or refurbished so offered me $50 for it.Seems like they are picking and choosing who to scam? In January 9, 2021 I let my wife use it one night cause she had Covid pneumonia and was hospitalized from Sunday to Wednesday the 13 and came out w...

Re: No Distilled Water, Can Filtered Water Be Used?
I pay 15 cents for filtered water per gallon. It takes a tank full per night if I used the heated option, too expensive at 88 cents.
It's already almost perfect from vending machine.

Re: No Distilled Water, Can Filtered Water Be Used?
I have been using filtered water for 12 years, no problem if cleaning the tank weekly or semi-monthly. Now I am using Zero Water filter on my filtered water to save on filter replacements. The filtered water is 003 Total Disolved Solids (TDS), and with Zero Water filter it goes to 000. My Tap Water ...

Re: Any tips for dry mouth?
I was having dry mouth. I would wake up with my mouth crazy-glued together and had to slowly peel off with water cause had little saliva do it any quicker. Turned out to be Diabetes, my glucose was 450. Now that my glucose is around 160 it doesn't happen any more. I always thought it was just the CP...

Re: Anyone else like me actually reasonably happy with their DME
Yes, I am fine with Apria. I have them for 4 years now. Only on my last order they sent me a mask without the Large size Pillows, but I called them and they sent me a New one in only a couple of days.

Re: How do you sleep with your mask with a head cold?
My Nasal Pillows help me precisely with nasal drip. Much easier to sleep with the CPAP than without it when I have a cold. It clears me up so don't have to concentrate on breathing instead of sleeping.

Re: Medicare's New Law
Yes, Julie. I saw my PCP once a year for the yearly checkup. So she always just ordered my supplies when I call her. My current PCP also sees me once a year so she can relate the info to my Sleep Doc who are both in the same Medical Clinic now that the service is divided. I order every six Months so...

Re: OSA & Frequent urination during the night
I had the opposite, rare urination even during daytime (water retention) only had to go in the morning or when evacuating. Had Three or Four bed-wetting episodes in one year ( 2003 - 2004 ) until I went on Cholesterol Treatment and started Using CPAP in October 2004. Then no more water retention ( f...

I use filtered water from the Vending Machines and only had build up with the Non Cleanable Humidifiers. Never, ever, ever have used distilled in 9 years of Treatment.
