Re: OT: Heads up on my personal issues

Sorry to hear about all your troubles, Pugsy! My father passed away from dementia; I didn't have to deal with it (he was in a different country), just my mother; I saw him a few times and he wasn't that rowdy, but he was helpless. There is just no good way to die... I'd share recovery tips from a br...

Re: Nasal Dialtors in conjuctions with CPAP?

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but I am using a long-discontinued nasal-pillow mask, one with interchangeable pillows, and they have two varieties, one called a dilator - that's what I use and it makes a huge difference from the regular style (and which is what all current-day nasal-pillow ...

Re: running 2 cpaps on one deep cycle battery

I can't quite read the numbers on the spec sheet you included. Just make sure the power ratings are enough to handle both. If you are using a converter from the manufacturer designed to run one machine, it's unlikely it would handle two.

Re:

Mine was 216 during REM. Are you sure this is real? Since AHI is calculated over a duration of one hour, or 3600 seconds, it means that your events took on an average duration of 3600/216 = 16.7 seconds. Since apneas and hypopneas are defined as lasting at least 10 seconds, that means that even if ...

Re: Does cpaptalk have dark mode?

"Dark mode" is about ergonomics - whether objective or subjective. It most often involves reducing brightness without reducing contrast. It can also be more energy efficient.

Re: Respironics Moog blower replacment part

The ball joints on my cars are of the sealed type (no greasing) and are OEM type but beefier. I can't find a photo of the Moog replacements and I've sold both cars that had them (my current race car build is not to that point yet), but here's a picture of the OEM ones after a good, tough service lif...

Re: Respironics Moog blower replacment part

There is also a Federal Mogul subsidiary Moog ; I have installed some of their parts in my car (ball joints, tie-rod ends, etc.) In the Jeep world, Moog has a horrible reputation, particularly ball joints. With so many countries manufacturing Moog parts, ball joints are like a box of chocolates... ...

Re: Respironics Moog blower replacment part

Wait, Moog made respironics fans? how far they've fallen. I thought they just made music synthesizers. Different Moog , they are a customer of my company, currently working on a major aerospace project in collaboration with SNC . The music instrument company Moog is the one you must be thinking of....

Re: chin strap

I've been successful in getting my mouth to stay closed by using a silicone mouth guard - it kind of builds an instinctive tendency to bite into it while sleeping, thus preventing my mouth from opening. I also use a homemade chin strap, but I've left it stretch so now it barely holds my chin, but it...

Re: Res Med Air Curve 10 ST SHUTS OFF

There are no leaks ....(never a red warning indicator) the numbers at the end of the sleep cycle are usually good (below eight) The machine firmware has its own idea of what a leak whould be (airflow and duration thresholds, onset, etc.) Those probably vary depending on multiple settings, such as s...

Re: Does anyone make Hybrid (minimal contact ) FFM with nasal pillow instead of nasal cradle?

I hope the Mirage Liberty also has the additional vent It doesn't. I also sleep face down Have you considered using a face-down pillow? My Breeze is heavily modified, one of the modifications being a duct rerouting the vent up top. The F30i has two vents, with the second being up top, at the hose j...
