Re: Nasal Irrigation
I use nothing but Distilled water with my NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit.
It's like $1.29/Gallon at my local Grocery store.

Re: Nasal Irrigation
I've been using the "NeilMed" Sinus Rinse packets (kit).
You can purchase an entire box with 50 salt packets, a bottle and cap/nozzle.
Very easy to use.
I got the entire kit for $17.00 on Amazon.

Re: ResMed Airsense 10 battery for sale.
2 years ago I bought a Medistrom "Pilot-24 Lite" rechargeable battery (24-volts DC) for my ResMed airsense autopap. The battery was very expensive, and serves as either a power source (camping, boating) or as an uninterruptible power supply. My apnea has gone away (yay!) and the ResMed APAP is in a...

Re: New ResMed full face mask....the F40
What is interesting is under the support documents for the F40, it says to tell Airsense 10 and 11 it's a pillows mask instead of a full face mask: https://support.resmed.com/en-us/masks/airfit-f40/. I've found the F30 to be the most successful mask for me so far, but it has short comings I hope th...

Re: Medicare and Masks
DRC09, Thanks for your insight on the Medicare Guidelines. I was not aware that their were different HCPC codes for different "Types" of masks, and that Medicare was performing audits and demanding the specific codes. That does explain why my local Apria office wants a Rx for a specific mask. Geez, ...

Re: Medicare and Masks
Thanks again everyone. It's been about a years since last got a mask, so Crapria can get away with parting out an entire mask. Most unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the original Rx for my supplies, otherwise, it would be an easy matter to walk with it wherever I wished. Another thing that was f...

Re: Medicare and Masks
Pugsy, Yes, I've heard that one many times. And Crapria is the Master of the Art of Lies. I was given a name of a DME that is close to me that I am going to call to see if I can start giving them my business. One of the sad facts about DME's, is that they consider the Doctor's as their customers, an...

Re: Medicare and Masks
Thank s for all of the replies. So everyone is in agreement that the DME is full of it, which is no surprise. Like Pugsy, I haven't seen a great need to see a sleep Doc, as I have been on CPAP therapy long enough to be able to handle "most" problems. So far, I have not had anyone (Medicare) say they...

Re: Medicare and Masks
BTW... I am on "Original/Traditional Medicare". I am not currently seeing a Sleep Doc. My Primary care Doc said he will write an Rx for whatever I need. But he is not a sleep Doc/Pulmonologist, and I am sure he is not extremely well versed on the ins and outs of the APNEA world. He does mark it in m...

Medicare and Masks
Hi All. I have a question about Medicare CPAP supply coverage. I have been using CPAP for 17 years and have been on Medicare for the last 2 1/2 years. I have ordered my usual Nasal mask from time to time with no problem. But My Doc recently wanted me to use a FFM when necessary due to some congestio...

Re: Good DME around Baltimore, MD
but seems like I may need a new sleep study (mine last one was 6 years ago), Medicare does not require a new sleep study. (There are some exceptional cases.) The assistant at my sleep doctor knew from experience which were the good DMEs and which were the bad ones. I don't currently have a "Sleep" ...

Google reviewers appear to give Mid-Atlantic Medical Equipment high marks: https://g.co/kgs/Sj9FWk Thanks for the name.... I'll see if they are on the Medicare list....... :.) I checked and they are on the Medicare list as "Americoast". The google reviews are great! But when I checked the BBB site,...

Re: Good DME around Baltimore, MD
If this will be though insurance, check to see who is in the Insurance network. I have Medicare and CIGNA as secondary. I can go thru the list of approved DME Vendors on the Medicare site. I know they have pretty extensive network of DME's. Hopefully, I can get some references to lead to a "good on...
