Re: Resmed AirSense 11 adapter for SoClean 2 or 3

It is almost a good thing there are plenty of lawyers jonesing to put them down, for a BIG piece of the action, of course. Almost makes you want to jump on the lawsuit bandwagon, ---even knowing the consumer will likely not gain squat. Anything to put these leeches out of business, and into the poor...

Re: How to turn off Remote monitoring

Can't blame a person for having the feeling of being WATCHED. Creepy, if you think a live person is paying that much attention, especially when you think you're alone. No less unsettling if you think a MACHINE is doing it.. "Skynet" is not here quite yet--but the great money machine is becoming a PE...

Re: How to turn off Remote monitoring

Radio waves from a cell phone is exactly the same strength as that emitted by your cpap..
The FCC sets acceptable SAFE levels for both, and enforces both stringently.
Now if your bed were resting in the radar antenna at an airbase--
THAT might mess you up some.

Re: Very frustrated after radiofrequency tongue base reduction surgery

Now we ALL know another thing can go wrong with cpap alternative surgery..
At least the surgeon got paid--which is often the definition of "success".
Too bad someone had to learn "the hard way".
Now I understand the why of the "NO FIREARMS" signs in the hospital.
No shooting the butcher!

Thank you.
Six years ago, my breast cancer was eradicated with simultaneous surgery
and reconstruction. This time, it is all chemo, since I chose to avoid radiation.

Re: Lip balm with mouth taping?

Oil and adhesive do not mix--or, rather oil cancels adhesive. (Goo-Gone works because it is oily.) You only put the balm where you don't want the tape to stick. Alternatively, painting tender skin with Milk of Magnesia (MOM), allowing it to dry, then dusting off excess, is an old trick mentioned on ...

Re: Scented Lip Balm with CPAP Mask: New CPAP User, Advice Appreciated!

Aromatherapy, like pur-sleep, sold by cpap.com., and used according to directions , is safe and effective. Note: placement OUTSIDE the air intake reduces any risk to acceptable levels. Lip balm, my foot--a desperate, but dangerous act- -unless the product has NO petroleum, and is applied sparingly. ...

Instead of the "mask resistance numbers", used by Respironics,
The Airsense models have settings for mask type--intuitive to set.
I always suspected that the Respironics sytem is intentionally misleading,
--intended to lead one to believe that you have to use only THEIR mask.
Beyond sneaky!

Maybe the romaine is still OK . . . Aldi romaine has surprising shelf life--
but I am thinking about that cold, wet CRUNCH in iceberg.
A bite of lettuce, a bite of bacon. And squeaky cheese.
Sometimes it's more about the mouth than the gut. Especially today.

Re: What to do with older cpaps?

I donated my old Elite (9 months use) to the clinic that serves the destitute and homeless. I keep my Devillbiss Autoadjust, because it will run off 12 volts DC with included cord. In case of a power outage, I could power nap in the Prius with powered accessory on. Only burns enough gas to keep the ...

Finished the sixth chemo today.--I have another scheduled in 2 weeks; and a tentative date reserved for Dec. 23rd. Hopefully done THEN . . . This latest one left me needing a good rest this afternoon-- but not sleepy enough to nap--(but I will tuck in earlier tonight.) A couple hours helped me to ge...

Re: Quick Senior Design Survey for UNI

For years, many cpappers have been using mouse pads under the cpap machine to prevent noise transmission to a nightstand. Mouse pads were once easy to find--not so much now. Perhaps an engineer could develop an alternative, insulating pad that is easy to clean, produces no lint, etc. A sellable gadg...
