Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Thank you so much beautifuldreamer. I will call them again tomorrow or maybe monday, hehe.
I can't stand the delays; it seems like it's part of their protocol. I don't like to be a jerk.

Thank you for answering. I love that machine over my present one. It works so much better.

Jim :-)

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Hi there, Recall of my cpap Phillips Respironics system one, 60 series I've been dealing with this recall for well over a year. The recall team keeps sending me requests for more information and it's usually information I've sent them already. I feel like I am getting the run-around and they are try...

Re: Lost hearing - HELP!

Update: I went to see my health provider and she found I had a ruptured ear drum. I have no idea how that happened but I woke up with it. I was given ofloxacin opthalmic and it is helping big time. I thank God for this medicine. She says about the weeks and my ear drum will be fine. Yay Thanks to al...

Re: Lost hearing - HELP!

Thanks for the responses. Still no relief or regaining hearing. I will see a medical provider. Meanwhile I've been using a nebulizer I got from Amazon. I do nostril breathing. My daughter suggested a steam cup on the ear - been doing that plus a heat pad at night. Pseudoephedrine. Hot showers/ear sp...

Lost hearing - HELP!

Anyone ever lose hearing due to some abnormality with Cpap use? I woke up a few nights ago and had severe ringing in my right ear. Went back to bed and woke up with complete hearing loss in that ear and it hasn't returned. I am hoping someone can relate and found a reason and a cure for this occurre...

sleeping and a good mattress

Can I veer off subject for a moment? I hate my memory foam/ hybrid, mattress that was sold to me as a "firm", not plush (which is what it really seems like it is "plush/too soft" because it sinks so far in while I sleep and my body is not comfortable). I wake up sore, back hurts and have knee pain. ...

Re: New Dreamstation or Airsense S10?

I have a airsense 10. Wife has a dreamstation. My airsense was suppose to be quiet. Before i got it, I told the dr I really wanted a dreamstation like the wifes. He said, "no, the airsense is quieter". I don't know, maybe her pressure is lower than mine or something but her's is WAY quieter than min...

Re: myair app

The MyAir is like a Report Card...It really doesn't tell you much. You are better off going to the Advanced Sleep Report on your LCD screen. Go to your Clinical Menu and find Essentials in the Settings. Change the settings to PLUS. In the morning, go to your sleep report and you will get a lot of b...

Re: myair app

We ignore myair here, because it's useless when trying to improve your therapy. Get sleepyhead, also your equipment profile is wrong. I see. Yeah I occasionally login to sleepyhead with my SD card. I'm not trying to rediscover myself here I just am curious on what these myair numbers mean. Thanks, ...

myair app

My sleep clinic set me up with "myair" app to disect my AirSense10 sleep and nightly activity. I'm looking for help to understand it. I log in daily to see what the app says about my breathing for the preceding night. Today my score is 85 out of a possible 100 points and the app is telling me I did ...

Best bed

Hello sleep experts, i am sick of my bed. It's one of those memory form, gel top, too expensive beds that lured us into a purchase with the salesman telling us all this bs about how it is so good. It never did feel like a "good" bed. It's too soft and my neck is always sore and my back shouldn't be ...

Glad I asked now. So after "Max ipap and min epap", there's this and I don't know what this means: min PS - 0 Max PS - 0 I just want to understand. Jim PS is pressure support, this is the difference between epap and ipap it makes it easier to breath out against the machine 3 or 4 is often a good st...

Re: Auto cpap is..

Looking at your Pressure graph I count about 18 times the pressure reduced. Some were small and others were larger. If that were my chart I would raise the minimum from 4 to 5.5 or 6 and expect better results because of fewer pressure transitions. If you like to play... You could count the number o...
