Re: pressure response on Airsense 11

How is that measured (or inferred) and given the levels shown here (generally 0.25 or so, how significant is that? (I guess what I'm asking is what are the units of flow limitation, for example is a 1.00 Flow limit actually a 100% collapsed upper airway?) If you look at Resmed's software, the FL ch...

Re: Therapy Consistency

When I look at the reported events some nights the number is high so perhaps some of those are central. The number of centrals is right there on what you posted, it's just that Oscar still (sadly) calls them "clear airway". I have read that the only acceptable AHI rate is 5 or less. 2 or less is mo...

I hope she has not been forced to have the jab as it's experimental and alters a persons RNA and due to this, they are then classed as non-human. It also voids life insurance as the jab is experimental.
Please keep the bullshit lies out of the forum.

Re: Non-mouth breather suddenly has dry mouth with new APAP

Setting the minimum to 7.2 would be better, and let the machine raise the pressure if needed. Aren't you the one who taught me to only change one variable at a time? She has changed machines. Changing the pressure should be done as a second step. That sounds more like Pugsy ;) I'd say what I said, ...

Re: Non-mouth breather suddenly has dry mouth with new APAP

I used my CPAP at 7.2 pressure the range is set between 4 and 20 on the new APAP This is a significant change in pressure settings. I suspect at the newer settings you are struggling to breathe and opening your mouth. If you were doing well at 7.2, I would set the new machine to 7.2 straight CPAP. ...

Re: AHI comparison to home sleep study results

No, I’m asking if a “respiratory index” is exactly the same as “AHI”. And if they are somehow different, how does one compare to the other. "Respiratory Index" isn't a common term. Perhaps it was "RDI" for Respiratory Disturbance Index? However, no, and RDI isn't the same as an AHI, AHI is how many...

Re: large leaks -- when to worry

Okay, I should have phrased that better. Something awakened me in the 7 minutes that the machine went from 7-15. Upon waking the intensity of the pressure was such that I could not easily fall back asleep so I restarted the machine. What woke you was the breathing problems (they disturb your sleep ...

and the burst of pressure woke me up!
You don't, apparently, realize that the pressure only changes over a period of minutes, there is no 'burst'.

EMFs. The CPAP machine is less than 6 feet away from me. It is about 2 feet away.
You do realize that there is a MOTOR and various electronic CIRCUITRY in the machine that creates EMF?

Is this policy in the United States also?
No, there's nothing like any kind of "standard policy" in the US.

With the 25/3, I understand the 25 but am not exactly sure what the 3 is.
IPAP 25, EPAP 3. you can set EPAP to 3 in S mode on a S or VAuto.

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

What is happening to cause the breaks in therapy? A need to urinate? Getting up for some other reason? Or?? Thanks for everyone's input. Initially, I would wake feeling breathless and I wondered if my mitral valve issue was a possible cause. My cardiologist says no and he's the expert. I'm going to...

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

Hello All I've attached three different nights. The one from August is a good one. In the others you can see the broken nights sleep though it's not the worst. Is there a graph I should have included? EDIT: Based on what Pale Rider said in another thread, I've raised the EPAP to 11.0, set the IPAP ...

Hello PR. It's been quite a while since I've posted and I've started a thread because I've been having issues, one of them being a feeling of breathlessness. The first sentence you wrote that I've bolded may just have provided a large part of the answer to my issues so thank you. BUT the op here do...

When would central apnea be deemed a serious problem?
Whenever you're having so many of them that it starts causing oxygen desaturations.
